Webster reference: A Bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices, especially one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance.
As a Mormon, I don't exactly understand all your religions either, but I'm pretty sure all your bibles and holy books says somewhere that bigotry is a sin, as it embodies hatred and intolerance.
America is a nation of many faiths and common values, and bigotry toward anyone because of their beliefs is unacceptable.
If you don't agree with what a person believes in, either leave it be or kindly disregard it in a civilian manner, something like "No thanks, I'm not interested" or "I'll stick to my religion. thanks anyway" instead of saying Mormons are stupid/crazy or something (Which I do not appreciate). it will be a win-win for everyone.
Y'all can either stop bigotry right here and now or regret it later in front of God. Your choice.

God also says that we shouldn't lie, we should teach and should turn away from appearances of evil, so I think I will listen to Him. This country also has freedom of speech in case you have forgotten.
God Bless.

Oh, good heavens! I don't think Roshan would udder what the lost hobo said..
You guys keep forgetting the R&S forum cannot ever render hard answers on the opinion of religion. It's too big a button to push, and I'm as guilty of is as every other answerer here.
But I won't stop pointing out the invalid, irresponsible and undeniable falsehoods perpetuated by the mormon church from it's inception,
Truth is something mormonism has had a hard time dealing with since JS got arrested for 'glass-looking'. It's been downhill ever since.

People are going to say what they want. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Ever heard of "Lets agree to disagree"? I'm not religious in the slightest, because I believe religion divides people. I have my own personal relationship with God. Sure, I have opinions towards different religions and I think some of their teachings are just ridiculously stupid, but that's an opinon, not Bigotry.

mormons are some of the worst bigots of them all.
Come on you guys follow the visions of a convict turned reformationist.
Do your research.
Bigotry is unavoidable because no one is perfect, we are all "with sin".
Mormons are not crazy like all else... there are alot of things that are right in mormanism.
Ask yourself this however, HOW COME YOU DO NOT LET ANYONE INTO YOUR CHURCHES AT ANY TIME? There are some weird things that I don't understand.
And only 144, 000 are going to heaven??? Really???? Have u told God this? And when did God tell you?
God looks at the heart of a man period. Whether he be muslim, christian, hindu, budist or whatever...
It is for God to judge man and God alone. And man will fight till the end of time.
All we can do is be responsible for our individual selves and try to live Holy and pleasing lives. And we will sit in front of God one day and He will judge us, but
you will not judge anyone now nor ever. You do not have the right.

Well, most Christians I see on here are embarrassingly tolerant. Someone will make some snide and condescending remark and they'll reply with kindness.
But I think we have the term "tolerance" all wrong. Tolerance doesn't mean we have to accept every belief as equally valid. If we accepted every belief as equally valid then we would be in total agreement and there would be nothing to tolerate.
Rather, tolerance is truly believing that the other person is wrong, and tolerating their right to have that belief even though you believe that they are wrong. That's exactly how I approach it. While I will openly maintain that someone from another faith is in error, I will absolutely defend that persons right to have that belief.

I am an equal oportunity basher of "religion"... All "religion" is man invented. The Mormon cult teaching is a prime example of that.
There is only One Church. All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation. Those become part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven.

in spite of the very incontrovertible fact that i'm not an Atheist, i want to show that I rejected the Southern Baptist church i became into raised in. i don't in basic terms like the belief of attending a Catholic, Lutheran, or Penecostal church. i do in contrast to on your face Christians who ask while you're stored. even even with the incontrovertible fact that i'm stored and that i'm a Christian who became into baptized by ability of determination there are a number of church homes, Christians, and Christian behaviors that I disagree with.

Look in the mirror budyaboy. Would you say that the Mormon church would fit the definition you gave?
They say that theirs is the only true church.
They alone have salvation. No other church has that.
They say that historical Christians are false Christians.

Al Sharpton did a good job of that, didn't he?
Most Christians do not share his point of view and see Mormon's as just another Christian sect, that is nearly the same as the rest of the Christians.

Your religion is your call. It's fine with me that you're what you are. Respect mine and I'll respect yours.
I once asked a Jewish man, Is it appropriate to wish you a Merry Christmas.? He replied, with a smile,:"It's the thought that counts."That's what my religion teaches me.
An act of kindness knows no specific religion.
