i got a perscription for them because of a back problem i was having.i just wanted to know what it was.

It is a strong painkiller. It is synthesized from Thebaine, an alkaloid of the opium poppy. It is very effective for pain relief and if taken exactly as directed it is the one of the safest pain medications you can take. If taken properly there is a less than 1% chance of addiction. Do not take it more often then prescribed or if you do not have pain, and do not take it for longer than you need it. I am on 2 versions of it for chronic pain (Oxycontin and Oxy IR).

it is an opiate narcotic analgesic. it will cause drowsiness so avoid driving. it may cause dependency if abused, but most likely will not if used as prescribed. there are many brand names, the one i think most people are familiar with these days is oxycontin. any other questions just ask.

It's something u really DO NOT want to get on!!!!! It's a very strong pain killer.................be careful!!! and take as prescribed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
