Another question, do you have to go to medical school? A Stockbroker friend of mine was on his way to become a Radiologist before that and he said he didn't have to go to medical school. Is this true? Thanks...

No, it is not true.

Your friend may be studying to become a radiology tech, but a radiologist is a medical doctor with extensive training in radiology (e.g., xrays, MRIs, CT scans, flouroscopy).

Radiologists are indeed doctors and do have to go to med school. They read xrays and interpret radiologic tests of all kinds, like MRI and CT and so forth.
What your friend was likely doing was going to school to be a Radiology Technician....that doesn't require an MD.

You need at least an associate degree in medical imaging or x-ray tech. There are schools that have a four year bachelor's degree in medical imaging, where you learn to perform all types of medical imaging procedures.

Radiologists take the pictures of your insides (diagnostic tests) and will give them to your physician. If they are trained to read the images, they will also give the physician a preliminary report of the results. The physician however, always makes the final decision regarding the results of any images taken.
