i have asthma too.. when you get short of breath or get sharp pain you are having an asthma attack and you need to come down , sit drink lots of water and take your perscribed medication from your doctor whether its an inhaler, a preventitive, whatever--

talk to your doctor and they can explain it better --asthma is serious and you can be hospitalized for i have , my brother and my sister has....good luck talk to your doctor

Are you sure it is asthma or something else, do not self diagnose. DO NOT use any over the counter products for asthma. STOP what you are doing to cause this reaction. Go to a clinic or see you Doctor. Asthma is nothing to fool around with, it can be very dangerous. Asthma is also very treatable. There are 2 types of asthma, one caused by stress and the other by irritants. You will still be able to run and do sports, as long as you are properly diagnosed and treated. Good Luck

First of all you need a proper diagnosis. Shortness of breath and wheezing / pain does not necessarily mean you have asthma. Get it diagnosed by a doctor properly and then you'll get plenty of advise what you can do.
There are inhalers, there are more natural ways of control also. Don't panic but get it sorted properly.

I saw the ciggy on the avatar, not too smart, quit now. Then see your doc, get an referral to an allergist, see what your problem is related to. You may need a nebulizer.

I've been on one (nebulizer) for years, so has my daughter, three grand daughters. We all take meds also. Get used to it. You may need a combi-vent also. See your doctor, don't tell us about it, we just advised you, now take the advise.

You need to see your doctor for this and be tested. If it turns out that you have it, they will let you know what to do in spefic to you. (e.g: an inhaler, etc).

In the meantime, dont do any physical acivity that cause you to be short of breath and/or have chest pain. Instead, have this investigated.
