Me and my boyfriend have been living in this appartment building for about a year now, we have upstairs, downstairs and neighbours on both sides of our appartment. Everytime we make a little too much noise they leave a note in our mailbox telling us to keep it down in a very rude manner. Once they left an add for earphones, making remarks about my orgasms ?? anyway..
We've managed to keep it very down and be more careful but they still seem to complain and leave their stupid notes in our mailbox or on our door. Our radio and tv is always at a low level, any lower we wouldnt be able to hear, yet they still seem to leave notes about noise and complain to the landlord on numerous occasions.I am very respectful towards my neighbours and always have been, I know what it is to have a loud neighbour and wouldnt want that on anyone.Yesterday we had our tv on, next thing I know we get another stupid note in our mailbox telling us to keep it down and that they even gather together TALK ABOUT US?

Yhe always sign their notes as

"youre upstairs, downstairs and both sides neighbours"

Why dont they show their faces, why are they so cowardly??? The landlord refuses to tell us which neighbour complains (although we kinda know).. Any tricks to **** them off without pissing off all the other neighbours? Were moving in 2 months and I want revenge, theyre so annoying with their stupid notes in our mailbox its becoming harassment.

i wouldnt worry about it. it is a tv, you are not having crazy parties or anything. next time they do it, put a note on there mail box saying, "quit putting notes on my mailbox". good luck!

Keep a log of the notes and harrassment. Include attempts to get assistance from the landlord. Is he the owner? If not find them. Put it all in writing. You can file complaints with the Police and even restraining orders. Revenge may backfire, yet I totally understand. Are they into drugs or illegal behaviour? Keep notes on everything. U have to be careful you follow tenant landlord laws so you stay out of trouble. Usually what goes around comes around. Pack and be so ready to leave in 2 mos all they see is your dust! Good luck!

HMMM... I think it may be illegal to put something in someone's mailbox, it has to be actually mailed. You could give the postmaster a call and ask them, and file a complaint if it is illegal. I think it's tampering with the mail or something like that. Also, since you are moving, there's potential for more fun. Have yourself a rip-roaring bedroom romp with your boyfriend the last couple of nights you're there (but not loud enough to warrant them calling the police). Then go knock on their door the day you're leaving and ask if they enjoyed the party.

I would simply write a note back, saying that you are an adult and you are not going to be bullied around by some neighbors that are trying to play parent with you!

Write your own note and put it in their mailbox.

Look, you've got two months. Stick it out.

As long as you are not really loud during quiet time your neighbors can suck it.

Hearing other apartments noise is normal.
