coffee acts as a diuretic which means u will start to pee more often. when exercising, u will sweat alot so you really don't need to be drinking diuretics, u need to drink more water first.

Well, when you drink coffee as the first thing in the morning, it creates a starvation mode for your body so that no matter what you eat and no matter how much you exercise, you will gain weight.
The bagel is high glycemic and you've just packed on some more fat.
You eat fruit first thing, then a grain and or a protein (like an egg) to support lean muscle.
Then, you drink lots of water before, during, and after exercise.

Coffee is reported to give a more high-pitched effect in a short time while tea is generally effective for a longer period of time.
People doing hard intellectual work might drink tea, while people doing some physical work, or as in your case exercise, may drink coffee as a lawful stimulating substance. "Mate", which is a sort of South American tea from dried leaves of Ilex paraguariensis, is also fairly stimulating. There are also chances that the effects of coffeine or theine vary from person to person, also according to which state of health people are.
Of course excesses of coffee are detrimental. Caffeine may give serious troubles. Once in a foreign country where they drink lots of coffee I was offered mugs of coffee wherever I met and I always said yes and drank all what I got, and eventually became very excited, very nervous. Then a man told me that I wasn't well in that country and that it would be better for me if I returned to my own country, "down there where I came from". He did not know, and neither did I, that it was all that coffee that made my nerves so unruly, on the verge of explosion.
Now I usually drink a glass of coffee mixed with full-cream milk (about three-quarters coffee) in the morning, one at noon and one at tea-time in the afternoon, and preferably not afterwards in the evening, else I will not be able to sleep.
Once I was told that milk decomposes the molecules of tannin in the coffee thereby making it less hard to stomach and nerves. That may also explain why people unconsciously have learnt to add some milk to their coffee.
Conclusively, a couple of medium cups of coffee, but maybe not the one immediately after the other, may be good for your very active time and hard exercising, but it would be wise of you to speak with your own family doctor, or a medical friend, about this.
Good luck!

absolutely. why wouldn't you be able to?
just think of what adrenaline does to you when you work out.
They say coffees good (as in beneficial) for the heart in as long as you've built a tolerance for it. You know, like if you've drank coffee on a normal basis. If you're new to drinking coffee and are older (like around 40), then you run a moderate risk of heart problems.
yes I do agree that caffeine will set your body up to become dehydrated easier, but It's not going to make you miserable or kill you, unless you plan on running 10 miles or so.

Hi,
I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at http://www.get2itnow.info where they have a free trial and you only pay 6.95$ shipping and handling.
Good luck!

HELLO,
YOU HAVE TO EXERCISE TO BURN OFF THE CALORIES FROM THE BAGEL AND/OR THE CREAM + SUGAR OF THE COFFEE. REMEMBER TO STAY NEAR A BATHROOM BECAUSE IN ABOUT 45-60 MINUTES YOU'LL NEED TO PEE. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AFTER YOU FINISH BECAUSE COFFEE DE-HYDRATES YOU.

Sure you can drink anything you want before you exercise, I think the question you want to ask is, "Is it safe to drink coffee before I exercise?"

umm...if anything the bagel will absorb about one of those cups of coffee and the other will give you more energy via the "caffeine high."

I have read that it's OK, actually what I read suggested taking some caffiene before working out to get your blood pumping and to help elevate your heart rate, but you should probably do more research.
