Okay, first of all you need to "know" you're ready not "think" you're ready. Also, how old are you? I don't necessarily think you should wait until marriage. I mean I wouldn't suggest that anyone buy a car without test driving it, but but you shouldn't jump in too young either. Just make sure that you're sure and that the person you're with is deserving of your virginity. Good luck.
Oh yeah and protection, protection, protection.

Don't rush it. If you only 'think' your ready then chances are your probably not quite ready yet. Worry less about your mom and more about you. Waiting till your married is a separate question altogether and is a personal choice based on your beliefs and ideas. Just don't make this decision in the heat of the moment.
If a guy is pressuring you make your won choices not his.
Take care, you'll know when you are. There wont be any questions at all.

It depends. If you are in a serious relationship, wait. If you are close to getting married, like within the next year, I would say no. Just think how special your wedding night will be when you and your husband are together. Not to mention (depending on your religion), it will be morally right. The more you wait the more special it will be. But if you decide you are REALLY ready, then do what you feel is best. Just don't blow it on some guy you have been dating for 3 months. You will regret it.

How old are you and where do you HONESTLY, not hopefully see you and your mate in 5 years. Do you always argue with this person? It will only get worse. Do you trust this person? If not you'll trust less. I have found in my short 23 years that the reason that it is best to wait until marriage is because it cuts alot of confusion out of your life. If you have sex with someone who you aren't married to, there is always the memory of that person, also depending on the maturity of your husband/wife, they may always feel like they have to compete with those that came before them. I'd say listen to mom, I wish I had. Here's a list of what sex before marriage can do for you (all inclusive). 1. make you feel good for a little while. 2. give you a baby. 3. make you feel closer to your mate. 3. make you feel even more rejected when the relationship doesn't work out. 4. give you a negative reputation. 5. give you an std. 6. cause arguements (it CAN happen) 7.just be horrible sex all together. 8. be with someone that you will not talk to in 5 years and also will not like. 9. be with the love of your life (its possible, not likely) 10. make you realize that it wasn't that important to begin with.
If the positives out weigh the negatives for you, then go for it, but really think about all of this and use protection WHENEVER you are going to do it, marriage or not.
I know your like I'm not wearing condoms when I get married but, please go get tested with him before you do have sex, with whoever it is. I know its not romantic but its the world we live in. You don't wanna catch the cooties. :)

You should wait. I lost my virginity at 14, only to find out that was the only reason this guy was dating me; he wanted into my pants. And that's something you can never get back. You want to waste that on some jerk? High school boys are never worth it. Don't create your biggest regret before you're even an adult. And pregnancy is ALWAYS possible, no matter how careful you are. Your mother knows what she's talking about. You won't realize that until you're older, but by then it will be too late.

Try and wait you will feel much more better within yourself. The last thing you want to do is regret this as it is a special time for most people as you always always not matter what remember your first.
Try and wait if you can you will feel much more respected and it will be soooo special for you. I know it may be a long wait but it will be worth it.
The first time is very uncomfortable and very very akward im sure you can wait for that feeling to be shared with someone you love.
Its you decision but listen to your mum if you can she is telling you the truth.
Best of luck xxx

If you want to have sex for the sake of having sex, then that's a pretty weak argument against your mother's wishes. If you have a boyfriend that you really care about, and feel like this is an extension of your love for him, then by all means proceed as you see fit. Just make sure to use all protection means at your disposal.

Sex should not happen just because you think you are ready. You can chose to wait until marriage. But if that is not your choice then wait until you are dating the right man. As things progress between you then eventually you wil feel the time is right for you to share yourself with him.

If this person in someone that you think you will marry, and he is not pressuring you into it, if u are ready then go for it. But, make sure that you wil not regret it. If hes not "the one" then how would you feel telling ur future husband about it. waiting is always a good way to go.

First of all - you need to know that sex is not as big a deal as everyone makes it out to be. Yes, it's fun, and yes, it's pretty nice. But it won't work wonders. It won't make your relationship with your partner stronger. It won't make him love you. It has its ups and downs, and the downs are pretty terrible.
If you are truly ready, then you should be able to talk to your mom about this. She'll respect you for being honest with her. If nothing else, please use protection. Teen pregnancy is no laughing matter, and STD's aren't either. Good luck!
