They drag their children across the desert in high temps walking for several hours and many times they use coyotes to help them which they know to be dangerous people. I think they should be convicted of child abuse. Opinions?

I am sure many do....But someone has to report the abuse....And it has to be proven that they truly endangered their lives.....Did you know, that in Texas, if a child, who is illegally here, is taken custody by social services, will automatically get citizenship? Are you sure, you want all those "illegal" children reported?

Becareful what you wish for.......

Not all cross the border like that...some stupid ones do. And yes it should be abuse. But just cause you see a mexican in america dont think that all of them crossed through a desert....Some actually cross legally!

Sunny is right in some circumstances, and in fact some illegals sell their children to prostitution. However lets not forget who pays for those services,The world is messed up and thank God there are still enough human beings in the world to know it is wrong to be inhumane, please dont be ignorant to the fact that all races are good and bad.Just be happy you have the choice to do what is right, and donot judge unless you have walked in anothers footsteps. In my opinion I dont have the right to convict anyone,The ones who do wrong will have to live with the consequences, not me.And not you.

NO. Because then their child will be taken away and put in the system that our tax dollars pay for. We have enough problems of our own to worry about illegals. They should be met on the other side by an armed guard giving 3 warnings to cross back over before they get shot....lol...treat border hoppers like hostiles...ya never know if they are bringing drugs or weapons or if they are terrorists...

I think the court system would only prosecute legal citizens for doing that. Illegals would be granted amnesty in a church and given a habitat for humanity home to live in.

Yes, they should. They are placing them in harms way and neglecting them by exposing them to the desert heat with no shade and usually very little water. Anyone else would lose their kids in a heart beat!

I just seen on the tube where there are a lot people who claim these illegals have rights. Well, to have rights in the USA, you have to be a citizen or a legal card holder. When these women come over here to have thier babies, those babies and the mothers need to be transported back to Mexico asap. They have zero rights, the same as we have when the Mexican Police pick us up for speeding in Mexico and toss us in jail for 4 days as happened to me. Piss on them. I say, round all of them up, men, women and children, and ship em back. Better yet, you sneak into Mexico and get caught. You will be months getting out of jail. And, animator, we already are paying out the rear for the 14 mill and thier kids who are here. Ship em back, pay decent wages to Americans and all will be well.

Illegal immigration is the crime here, lets deal with that first, as we don't have much authority over someones kids that are here illegaly!

No. Putting illegal aliens through the legal system only delays thier deportation.

No it is not child abuse if you are doing it for your kids own good. I said to my kids, would you rather suffer in the dessert for a few hours or suffer in Mexico for the rest of your life? They cried the whole way but when we got to our home in California they were happy again.
