Some are frauds and some are not. I had a few tarot card readings a number of years ago that were EXTREMELY accurate.

There's something that you should understand about tarot (or any other form of divination, for that matter) before you go handing your money to anyone! First, the cards (or stones, or runes or WHATEVER) can only show you ONE path. Every life is made of infinite paths that are formed by the choices you make every day of your life. These divination tools can only show you one of those paths at a time. Usually, it's the path you're on at that moment. But because it changes with every choice you make, you can get a reading that says one thing one day, go back to the same person with the same deck the next day and get a completely different reading and both of them could be right. Next, I'd find a friend that knows how to do it. Never pay for that. It's not like it's that hard to read cards (Believe me, I've done it), it's a matter of finding the symbolism in each card and how it pertains to the person getting the reading. Nothing hard about it. Don't pay for a service you can do just as effectively yourself if you really want it. Go buy yourself a deck and do your own. There are a ton of books that explain how to do it properly and what all the symbols in each of the cards represents. Then, if you learn it, you can charge other people money for it. LOL, jk

Tarot cards have been around a long time and were originally a Kaballistic interpretation of Torah in Judaism. Keep in mind that in Judaism, Kaballah is supposed to only be studied by men over 40 years old. The validity of a "reading" would be questionable most of the time now days, as it was not intended to "tell the future". The future is in God's hands and a lot of the "accurate readings" you hear about are either because "the answer" was so general that the laws of probability would dictate that it would happen, the reader had manged to subtly get details from you to fill in enough "specifics" to where you may think it is a credible reading or you create a self-fulfilling prophecy situation. If you want someone to read Tarot cards for entertainment, fine, enjoy; but if you are looking to make critical decisions based on the reading, be careful. The Bible doesn't deny sorcery or the black arts. If you recall in Exodus with the first few plagues, the Pharaoh had his sorcerers and magicians perform the same acts as Moses and Aaron. With that in mind, I couldn't say that every Tarot card reader is a con artist, but the odds are most will be.

There is some truth to this but the key word is SOME. They mix half truths with some lies and things that cause fear sometimes and joy at other times...whatever it takes for you to keep coming back. They are not there for you but for themselves. If they use fear tactics then you will keep going back to see what the next possible horrible thing that will happen in your life will be so you can try to prepare for it. If they use joy then you will still go back to see whats the next good thing that is going to happen to you. These people will keep you coming back in whatever way they will. The only one you should seek for knowledge of your future is the only one who knows the real future and all of the truth and that is God.

It depends on the person reading the tarot cards. If they are playing with you or they are being for real. I do believe in some truth but still stay cautious to the person reading the cards.

Treading on dangerous grounds. As there is a God, there is a Satan who knows you probably better than you know yourself and remembers details about your life that you probably have forgotten. My grandmother was card "reader" / fortune teller and I assure you this is demonic. There may be some truth to what is told but you are putting yourself on deadly ground and at the mercy of Satan himself. He can tell the past accurately and can perhaps "predict" or arrange things so that what he says through the medium happens. These people that read these cards are under his influence. Beware.
Do not waste your money but especially guard your very soul.

It's my opinion that the cards are symbolic of things that people normally wrestle with in their everyday thinking. The cards drawn only help for that person to focus on those issues love, money, relationships, etc. so it gives the appearance of being true.
I must say though that some have deep soulful insights that are astounding.

Of course MANY people believe in this, but MANY people believe they saw Elvis at McDonald's last night and will swear to it.
Many people really believe they have been abducted by space aliens, or saw an image of Virgin Mary in a cookie they were eating.
Do care to know what I believe? I believe, that if you even give a thought about things like this (including tarot cards) you need to consult a psychiatrist right away.

You're going to get a LOT of answers that say she's just taking your money. And while I believe that tarot cards can provide accurate, true guidance - not everyone who reads them is legitimate. It all boils down to the reader.

I read Tarot cards, and they're no different than horoscopes. Fun for some, may be accurate, may be hooey. A good reader can come up with some uncanny things, but who's to say that's not to do with prior knowledge, body language, reading into things...
Consider it paying for entertainment and don't stress.

I think some people are good at tapping into truths, but if you're paying someone, I'd want to hear some testamonials first. A lot of people are just out to make a buck.
