I'm going to an Around the Clock Bridal shower. I have no idea what gift to bring. My "time" is 1pm. What are good gifts for around that time? Considering I don't want to spend over $50 dollars (I hardly know the bride).

How about a gift certificate for lunch? I'm really big on gift certificates. That way she and her fiance can have a special meal together rather than yet another dust-sucking piece of ++++.

I am all for practical gifts for weddings and baby showers. But you want to have some fun with it, too. Four o'clock is the traditional time for tea...maybe you can come up with something like a nice tea kettle or china tea pot and an assortment of different teas? You could go all out and add in a gift certificate from a nice bakery for some scones and other tea-type pastries. If you don't know the bride, maybe you can scope out the groom a little bit and see what he can tell you about her--and their--tastes. If she has a set of pots and pans or nice china, you might look for something that matches it. Or, you might find something that would look pretty on her stove, like a nice copper kettle. It also depends on how much you want to spend--a copper tea kettle can be pretty expensive. That sounds like an interesting concept for a bridal shower....kind of different and fun. Good luck!

I HATE THEME SHOWERS. LOL

Maybe a dessert type gift, since I am sure the noon person will get lunch stuff. You could get a pair of ice cream sundae bowls, toppings and a gift certificate to Baskin Robbins.

I will say it again: I HATE THEME SHOWERS

You could get something that has to do with lunch, like a set of glasses or an Ice Tea pitcher and matching glasses set. Find out if she likes sushi and you could get her a sushi set, with mats and chopsticks. Stick with something around a lunch theme!

1:00 p.m. Luncheon items. Anything to do with cooking, kitchen items. Gift cards for lunch. Any of the little items she registered for relatiing to the kitchen.

Let's see. That's right after lunch. Maybe dessert plates?
