Hygienists- about $65,000 per year (where I'm at)
Assistants- about $27,000 per year (ditto)
More than double....you do the math. This is with no benefits...that adds more to the figures.
Mind you that the salaries can vary depending on where you live.

Dental Hygienists! It's a great career field to get into and Hygienists usually get to choose their own hours. I know some who work in one office 2 days a week and a different office the other 2 days. Its extremely good money to be cleaning someones teeth all day!!

Dental Hygienists by far. That's why it takes longer, costs more, and requires harder studies than becoming a dental assistant.

Dental Hygentists. They make excellent pay and it is a really great field to go into if you are interested!
