Is it my imagination or did no one mention Robespierre? He was an atheist, was he not?
Funny how EVERY ONE of the people who answered here seems to have missed the "Where are all the model Christians...." question that it is obviously a parody of (unfortunately, it seems to have been removed). Thanks one and all for playing anyway.

Nice try, but Stalin has never been confirmed to be an atheist. Pol Pot thought of himself as a god, so he wasn't an atheist either.
Castro and Marx were/are atheists, but your point here was clearly that Atheism = Communism which is a lie so often debunked I'm stunned anyone still believes it.
Pol Pot:
His philosophy was shaped mainly by Theravadan Buddhism.
Joseph Stalin:
He graduated from the Gori Church School in 1894 with honors. Stalin continued on to study at the Tiflis Theological Seminary, which shows his religious upbringing.
Lenin:
He had a Christian upbringing but when at the age of 14 his father died he lost his faith.
