here's the way I think of it: every generation has it's rebellions, be it jeans instead of skirts or pot and patchoulli oil. So, if each generation rebels in some way, and then teaches their kids that it's okay, then each generation grows more lax and accepting.
An easy example is a group of parents who won't let their kids watch movies. Well those kids grow up and rebel and watch movies, but only the family-friendly movies. So their kids are only allowed to watch G movies, but they grow up and rebel and watch PG. So their kids grow up and rebel and watch PG-13. The last generation grows up, rebels, watches R and then are not even shocked when their kids download porn.
It's a similar thought process with anything. For instance, homosexuality. No homosexual wants to believe they're going to burn in hell for their sexuality or even that it is 'wrong' in any sense. So they teach their friends and family to accept them and teach their kids, if they have them, to accept them. So their kids grow up accepting it and teach their kids to accept it, but because those children were brought up by two generations of simply 'accepting' it, those kids accept it as 'normal'.
Besides, since everybody does things that are wrong, as we become more and more spoiled by our freedoms, we're going to be want more and more freedoms because nobody wants to be wrong when they do what they want.

It works both ways. Think about what used to be considered right is now wrong.
It used to be burning people at the stake was right.
Generally, what is right or wrong is determined by the society as a collective. It is combined by values taught and experiences learned. If we are learning that these things are OK, then just maybe, they really are OK.
So, no I don't believe murder will be deemed right or child molesting. As demonstrated by my example of something that was once right is now deemed wrong.

The world has become so immoral it's disgusting.
Satan was cast down to the earth, and since then, there has been much woe, and violence, crime, immorality, etc. has become more prevalent.
He knows he only has a short period of time before he is thrown into the abyss, so he is on a rampage to get all to turn from loving what is good, to loving what is bad.
Also, according to Bible prophecy, we are now living in the last days of this system of things. Read 2 Timothy 3:1-5. Shows how people will act during the time of the end, and it's picture perfect according to the way most people on earth live today.

3,000 years ago abortion, homosexuality and infanticide were OK.
Right and wrong are subjective terms. It isn't about making "immoral" things OK...it is about letting people make their own choices and allowing them to exercise some of that "free agency" Christians talk about. It is about not judging people. It is about not having a government or a religion dictate personal choices or vilify a natural state of being.
Blessings,

You say don't compare because of two different subject, well two people having willing, consensual sex is a whole hell of a lot different from someone raping and murdering a child.
The same book straight says eating shellfish is an abomination to god, I notice that didn't make your list of non-acceptable but practiced activities.
The book was written in a time beyond the dark ages, where witches and werewolves were considered common place. Saints performed miracles by slaying giant dragons.

In the medical community? Could be that peer reviewed studies of the early 90s confirmed that sexual orientation is largely genetic. Not much difference than if you were discriminated against for the color of your skin. Have you ever experienced that? How did it feel? You might want to look up the studies, sorry it's the truth.

You say those things are wrong. But, I don't. Sexual orientation is determined in the genes, so being born gay, is the same as being born black, white, etc.
Don't compare having an abortion and being gay to murder and child molestation. They have nothing in common.

Ideals change with the new generations, people generally become more accepting of such things. Abortion is still kinda touchy for me, but I can't understand why people think homosexuality is wrong.
'cause it's in the bible? The bible said the earth was flat. :/

right. And burning people at the stake was right? Unmercifully torturing people until they convert to christianity is right?
and honey, your examples of women's and black's rights ARE the same subject. Years ago, blacks were treated as animals and women as property. Was that right?

What about women's and black's rights?
Judging by your profile picture, you are a black female. Of course you would want to seperate those two past 'wrongs' off to one side.
If you were gay as well you would want to put that over to one side too.
Hypocrite.
