He doesn't need them any more than He needs Humans.

The word Angel literally means "messenger."
did you ever think that the Pagans borrowed things from Jews? It is very possible seeing as they are not that far from one another geographically, and the Jews were an established nation long before the Greeks even thought to much about becoming one.

Angels- a messenger; specifically of God, that is, an angel - ambassador, angel, messenger.

Angels do not have wings, and they are all men, and no women. Only Cherbs have wings. They are the guards of the throne of God, and the arc of the covenant.

2 Chronicles 5:7 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim:

2 Chronicles 5:8 For the cherubim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and the staves thereof above.

Psalms 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

According to the Bible, angels are spirits, just as God himself is a Spirit. (Psalm 104:4; John 4:24) The angelic family is large, numbering into the millions. (Revelation 5:11) And all of them are “mighty in power.” (Psalm 103:20) Though angels are like humans in that they have personality and are given free will, they did not begin their lives as humans. In fact, God created angels long before mankind’s appearance—even before the creation of planet Earth. When God “founded the earth,” says the Bible, “the morning stars [angels] joyfully cried out together, and all the sons of God began shouting in applause.” (Job 38:4, 7) Since the angels are God’s creation, they are called the sons of God.

I am not Christian but I believe in God and angels has helped me before. I think angels help you if you ask for help from god. God created angels to help people, I think.

God doesn't need them. WE need them, and He uses them to do His will sometimes.

"God does not need to use angels. He chooses to. From the biblical perspective, God could have remained in majestic solitude throughout eternity. Instead, it was his choice to create angels to do his will."

Angels are other creatures created by God that serve him. In the old testament, they were often sent with messages because people were not allowed to look upon God directly.

God kicked all the Arch Angels out of heaven, or as they say they fell from grace, so he doesn't need them obviously.
