I've had a similar life and my family. I get the low downs too. But looks on the bright side, you got through it! And your getting and going to get through it. Life is better when you look at the good rather than the bad, right? Look at what you have now, what can you do now, and that you can make your life the way you want it, are the questions should be asking. People feel in dispare because they see things as out of their control, but things may happen and can't do anything about, you can reverse the affect on youself and say it's not going to affect me, it's going to strengthen me! Many people have gotten through the hard time and you can too! Take a look at others, people who are starving, in poverty, and sickness, be thankful. Never compare your self to someone esle life and say why me, there is always a purpose, it will never be answered back, look what you got that's in front of you, you have a boyfriend that cares for you and many people don't have. I think that's cute that you guys same a emotional bond and maybe God sent you him to help you get through it all. That's a blessing!
Here are some other ideas of how to get through:
1.) You can make a difference in you life, rather you know it or not, you can make others feel better by volunteering and helping the poor. It gives you strength and wisdom to be in their shoes. You can make the things you leanr from experiences and apply it to others.
2.) Maybe read book to inspire you, and make you feel stronger. I like to read the Bible or biograghy, makes you feel thankful for what you have now.In the Bible Job, Joseph, and Abraham all followed God even in teh darkest times.
3.) Go for counseling with you mother and help her out too. You can get through it together better than alone.
4.) I alway tell myself God will always love me no matter what happens, and that is the greatest feeling of all. It opens your spirtual eyes. Love conquers all!

Hope this helps and God Bless!!

I think you should be in counseling. Help from a professional is sometimes the only way. Life is not about being happy all the time, but it's not good to be depressed as often as you say you are. Consider also that you and your bf might not be so good for each other. It's nice to have someone in your life who has the ability to uplift you when you are down. I feel sorry for your mother because she worked so hard to crush your spirit, but she did not succeed because you still are fighting.

Perhaps both of you should change your routines. Start excersing together, go to the park. Or perhaps, when you see she's becoming unhappy, stop her, get yourself together, and then try to help her. Another thing is it really depression or is it a little sad or discouraged or something a lot milder but you are calling it depression. If not, maybe you are a hyperchodriact. (I probably didn't spell that right but it's people who pick up illnesses from their environment without a real cause).

Hormone imbalance can cause depression. And an under active thyroid will cause depression.

My Husband is quite negative and through the years I have picked up on it also.

Just try to stay positive.

you should try to surround yourself with positive people. negative people tend to bring you down, misery loves company. besides, why would you want a boyfriend who's moody all the time?

If you really want to stay with him, talk to him, and tell him that hes bringing you down. Maybe he'll get treatment.
