I am willing to bet that if you got the training jacket and went to any college on base they could take the training that you have and translate that into civilian jobs. :) That would be the best way to look at it. Semper Fi

For a "traditional" college education, you could try electrical or mechanical engineering. There's a lot of advanced math and non-electrical material in the core classes, and a lot of people wash out of those programs. I'm sure you have some background in computers, so maybe computer engineering or computer science (again, lots of math and highly competitive). If calculus isn't your thing, there are hybrid computer/business majors out there (like management information systems).

You could always think "outside the box" a bit. With your background, there's no reason that you *need* a four-year college degree to be successful. A friend of mine went to an 18-month technical school right out of high school, and learned to repair/install commercial air conditioning systems. He makes more money now than a lot of lawyers I know, and has been since he was 21 years old.

Depending on where you live, you could take a study course or two, and become a licensed electrician (usually requires passing a test). Or eventually, an electrical contractor. Both of those make good money.

.Electrical Engineering. You can also work with TSCM.

Ask around, TSCM is very interesting, and when you get discharged you can ask for any salary you want, specially if you had a security clearance of top secret or above.

Trust me.
