Why is it that christians feel the need to "rebuke" in the first place? Many of us have already been buked enough!

If you would like a serious answer, I'll give it to ya. I am not all that adept with "rebuking" per se, probably because I always have to check myself before doing any rebuking and by the time I'm done that, God has already solved the problem via someone/something else. I try to only do it to my Christian friends, because they understand that it is the love of Christ that compels me to do it. Basically, their relationship with God becomes foggy due to an action on their part, usually some sin, and I would like to see them restored to that great relationship, that we may continue together as Christians in this walk. It's kinda like checks/balances. I hope that they do the same for me and I also hope that I am ready and willing to receive from God through them. To put it in a humanistic sense, it's basically saying, "Yo, dat's mad wack, dude!"

Supposed to mean , in a way "Talk to the Hand" but in the name of the Lord.
example:
Girl 1 "You love to gossip, don't you?"
Girl 2" No, and I Rebuke that" (sometimes following "In the name of the Lord" ) depends on the person...
Does that clarify?

It means to do away with something in your life that you don't want anymore.
Like rebuking addictions, pain afflictions, bad thoughts, etc.
We have the authority over things by what we speak.

It's a fundy thing, where you get to lecture someone for god.
Say you're a fundy and you sister is smoking. You would rebuke her by telling her "What you're doing is wrong, it's a sin!" Throw in some bible verses. Say that "I don't like having to chew you out, but I have to do it because God wants me to."
It's just being a superior, judgmental asse (for Jesus).

i'm unsure if this question pertains to bullies, God, or the "loose present." So i'm going to remark on all. remark on bully: i assume a bully could experience like a god after he has pushed human beings to place as much as him. Bullies thrive on ability. besides the undeniable fact that, in evaluation to God, Himself, a bully could nicely be put in his place. remark on God: He would not bully you into submission. He provides a decision. on the "loose present." God has given us many loose presents, in basic terms because of the fact He loves us. As for the bully. Get a Bible. Stick a word on it that asserts "loose present," then placed it in his locker.

It's what happens after you eat at that one taco stand on Colfax. Near the Fillmore.
Oh, also? It has to do with saying something VERILY. If I rebuke you, I do it verily. And, I do it unto you.
VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, YOU ARE REBUKED!

It means, 'No'. To stand against ( which can be connected to the Hebrew verb for: To hate, pronounced saw nay. )
