You will need to be put on antibiotics. I had bronchitis that turned to pneumonia. After coughing for almost 5 months(and 4 rounds of different antibiotics) it finally went away. I now have asthma brought on by bronchitis and am on medication for the asthma. My lungs were damaged from so much coughing and being filled with fluid.
Get to the dr and get meds otherwise it will get worse!!

First of all, if you haven't been to a doctor, it is time to do so. You need an antibiotic to fight an infection. I am on the end of a 3 or 4 week bout of bronchitis as well. I was given a prescription of zithromax which did help but didn't fully kick it out of my system as the coughing came back a few days later and then built up again to be rough again. I am now on another antibitic which is somewhat strong..levoquin. I am already feeling better.
Several years ago, I waited a long time to go to a doctor. I did damage my lungs with the intense coughing. My lungs are fine now but I have learned to not play with this stuff. You very well could have walking pneumonia which can be a big deal. If your chest hurts, you feel occasional or frequent feverishness, and the mucus continues to have a yellowish tint, get some help. It isn't worth it getting worse. Do some high dose vitamin C but you likely still need and antibiotic.

You need to see a doctor and get antibiotics. If left untreated your bronchitis will become pneumonia, sugar. The doctor needs to see you, listen to your lungs and possibly take a chest x ray to see if it's just bronchitis, or if it already has become pneumonia.
Anytime you hack up yellow and green goo, you have an infection. Anytime you blow green goo out of your nose, you have a sinus infection. Healthy mucus is clear mucus, all the other colors mean you are sick/infected and need medical attention.
You may have a sinus infection, which is referred to as an upper respiratory infection. Now that it's moved into your chest, you also have a Lower respiratory infection.
The fact that you have been sick for 3 weeks is just plain scary. You should never let it go this long without seeing a doctor, you could end up in a hospital bed with I.V. antibiotics if you're not careful.
Be sure you take ALL of your antibiotics, take every last pill. Take them with a full meal and a glass of milk/water. If you do not feel better after taking ALL of your antibiotics, go back to the doctor. **You might need two courses of antibiotics to kill whatever has taken up residence in your lungs and sinuses.**
If your doctor cannot see you today, go to a Walk-In Clinic TODAY. Walk In Clinics take most insurance, are open from like 8am to 10pm, and you don't need an appointment. They'll treat you well and you'll be in & out in half an hour. If you tell me your city and state I can probably find you a list of walk-in clinics, ok? Ok.
Sweetie, please see a doctor today. You do not want to let this go on any further.

The only thing that gets rid of Bronchitis is antibiotics. Go see your doctor. You don't need to ASK for anything, the doctor will prescribe what is best for your illness.

See your doctor about an antibiotic and you could pick something up over the counter for the symptoms or haveyour doctor prescribe something else. But definately see your doctor.

sounds like you have an infection based on the color of the mucus.
you will most likely need some type of antibiotic.
best bet to get rid of it quickest is to go see a doctor asap.

They are the doctors, let them tell you what will help. If you don't agree or have tried it; let them know and see if they can suggest something else.
