I think Junior will go to RCR. Childress was really good friends with Dale Sr, and knows Junior well. It would be a good fit, and IMO Junior is the only man who could drive the black #3, should it be unretired. . : 0 )

personally I think RCR. I think for alot of his and his daddys fans it would be cool to see him in the #3 car. Gibbs is also a possibility. Him and Tony are like best friends, but that has nothing to do with jrs best interest in racing. He cant go with hendrick, they already have 4 cars, and since everyone keeps saying what a great guy rick hendrick is, I dont think he'll bump mears for jr, its not a very friendly thing to do. Now about his own team, I dont think he would drive and own his own team right now, look at waltrip, its just too hard to do, and he said he wants to win a championship, he needs a team that is already established, so that would make no sense. So I say, its a toss up between RCR and Gibbs, could go either way.

The guy is going to drive for Gibbs, RCR is a safe bet, but Gibbs wins out. Jr will be able to bring whoever he wants with him, as they dont have a fourth team at all. RCR has a part time driver in Wimmer, and they would drop him with a quickness, but I think Jr wants to go where he can win a title or compete next year. RCR is good they just arent that good, Gibbs is that good. Gibbs will give Jr everything he needs, he will lack for nothing, and he will have great teammates, hell they might even be willing to drop Yeley if Jr wants Truex jr. with him. Gibbs has a great development program that could help Jr with his Busch team, and Gibbs would be willing to help him start to establish his own Cup Team if he wants to. I know RCR would do all those things as well, but I think Gibbs right now would be best for Jr, no pressure to drive the 3, going his own way making his own path.

It's a tossup. Gibbs has the edge on the COT. RCR has his father's legacy. It really depends on how he feels about walking in his dad's shoes. I still don't think he'll be racing for Hendrick's or his own team. Managing and driving on the team you manage is a little too much.

If these owners expand to add a car for Jr or he goes with his own team, he needs to consider who is going to give him the best chance to be in the top 35 in points after the grace period at the beginning of the year.
I'm not saying that as a driver he would be incapable of being top 35, but he needs to make sure that adequate equipment and personnel are at his disposal.
For example, he probably shouldn't go drive the #55 Toyota.

Probably Gibbs because of his friends Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin. Or he may go RCR to drive the old #3 chevorlet. He is still undecided though.

Don't laugh too loudly...but I heard a rumor that Jack Roush is gonna demote David Ragan to the Busch Series and put Jr. in the #6 car, teaming him up with his buddy Matt Kenseth. Imagine that...Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in a Roush Ford...
...
...all right, you can laugh now. I thought it was pretty ridiculous myself. Realistically, I'm thinking Jr.'s either gonna sign with RCR (did somebody say #3 Goodwrench Chevy?) or bring his own operation to Nextel Cup. He and Truex kicked a lot of a** in the Busch Series in JR-prepared cars and who's to say that he wouldn't try to lure him over to a second team if it takes off?

More than likely it would be RCR. Both Joe and J.D. Gibss have been quoted several times saying they don't want a fourth team at this time.

I would say if Gibbs comes calling he would jump to that in a heartbeat. One of his best friends drives for Gibbs in Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin and him are also close. I would love to see him go to RCR, but I don't see it happening.

I see him going to RCR, but would love it if he joined the JGR team! Not only because he's friendly with Smoke, but he's a huge Redskins' fan (before the Panthers existed) and has so much respect for Joe Gibbs.
Cheers!
