There a boy I REALLY like at school. I know we have a lot in common, but I don't know how he feels about me. I wish I could be brave enough to ask him out, but I'm scared. What if he says no, then uses the put down everybody knows works on me and says I'm ugly? And then goes and tells everybody? I really don't know what to do. If anybody good give me some good advice, you don't know how much I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

OK. How about asking him to meet you at the library to study whatever class you two have together? It's legit and it's not like you're asking him to date you - you really could use the "book-time."
Oh yes. That doesn't mean you look dreamily into his face and all that stuff. We're honestly talking about studying. However, you can get a good idea as to how he feels about you during the whole time. BUT pay attention to your books, first and foremost.
If he says "no." Then drop it. No drama. No scene. Just a "Cool. That's too bad. You're good at XXX and I could have used the study time." See, if he can't spend some time in the library with you - he won't spend some time going out with you socially.

Oh come on. Stop being so self conscious and letting the opinions of others get the best of you. Ask him out - straight up. Dinner, movie, pizza, coffee, whatever floats you boat and try to get to know the guy better. Who cares if he rejects you? There are PLENTY of fish in the sea. I really think you should stop thinking of the 'what ifs'. APPRECIATE YOURSELF.

send out a "feeler" question...maybe like on a friday ask him what's going on for the weekend and maybe he'll get the hint altho i gotta say most of us guys will miss the subtle stuff and you practically have to hit us over the head before we get the picture

ask him 2 go to the movies or something casual if it goes good from there and then go for it but make sure there is a relationship vibe and not a friendship vibe

Well, why don't you try to become friends with him before you try anything, and it will help you see if he is into you. Anyway, if you really like him it shouldn't matter what any one else thinks.

all you have to do is write him a note and ask him to go out with you if you don't want to go to him face to face you can try that and see if that works
