It really bothers me how her hair hangs down over the food she's preparing. Rachel Ray's does, too. Shouldn't they have their hair pinned back while they cook??? Eeew.

I agree it is gross no matter what! Just like going to the deli and having the lady practically lay in the deli case to reach what you want and have her hair (tied back or not) be over the other food! GROSS!

Sorry folks, but I disagree! Part of the appeal of chefs such as Ina Garten, Rachel Ray, Paula Deen and Sandra Lee is that they appear to be cooking in their own homes and kitchens. Now, while we might know that they're on a set to film for FoodNetwork, what appeals to us is that they are letting us know that we can recreate these delicacies in our own homes. Letting their hair down is natural, since none of us put on hair nets to cook at home, so they are appealing to the "we're all in this together" part of us. I say, good for them!

It bugs me too. My hair is only a little longer than hers, and when I cook at home there's always a stray hair on the counter or stove if I don't keep it tied back.

I don't care for her anyway. Between that music and her voice, I fall right asleep.

If they were cooking in a restaurant they would be required to pull their hair back but since they're on TV and not really cooking for anyone it doesn't really matter.

I agree. It's annoying and she always pulls it behind her ear while she's cooking. Definetly not sanitary! But it doesnt matter because I'm not very fond of her to begin with. I think her food is boring.

I agree with Cheffy. Even when just cooking for my family, it drives me nuts to have my hair hanging down, so just clip it up.
