I believe in an afterlife (my opinion). But I also think the world is a sad place, mostly because of the potential being wasted. I would love to see people helping people everywhere I look, but alas much of what I see is finger pointing and name calling (on both a personal and international scale; just turn on the news; "Nobody's right if everybody's wrong")
What can we agree on, believers and non-believers, that could make even just your home or workplace a little more cohesive and beautiful today and tomorrow? Why must we concentrate on dividing ourselves? What can we unite around?

No one here has agreed to disagree, else there would be no one here arguing.

None of us can fix the world, but we can all make our own world a little bit nicer. Don't think that every little bit makes a difference, because if wqe all trusted each other to take care of their own little patch of Earth, we could all keep our own looking nice, too, figuratively speaking.

Humanity NEEDS to agree on this, or else, humanity is doomed...
Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our
Creator and save your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs.
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!
Unless everyone on Earth wakes up and Creates Their Relationship, the Earth and everything on it, including Humanity, is wasted...
only Humanity can save Humanity, only by Creating The Relationship !
Love and Peace starts by the acceptance of God's Love !

I'm a Christian, so naturally I'll say Jesus!
some food for thought:
"...Don't you know that love for this evil world is hatred toward God? Whoever wants to be a friend of this world is an enemy of God."
James 4:4
"You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that–and shudder."
James 2:19
"Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?"
Matthew 7:16
"Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking.
It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails."
I Corinthians 13:4-8
Spread the love, chica - it is contagious!!!!
p.s. I love you and also feel sad that the world is such an evil place, especially to those who don't seem to deserve it. I think the most powerful thing you can do for your fellow man is pray for him. When I do choose to watch the news, that's the only way I can sit through it. But prayer alone is not enough:
"What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do."
James 2:14-18
"As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead."
James 2:26
May God bless you always with Light and Hope and Love!

We both know that sitting here on this website solves nothing. If your gung-ho about fixing the world, realize your 1 in a million. Put down the mouse, and go bath a homeless person.

We can agree that the most sublime religion should bring people together and not divide us. A philosophy that values peace, culture and education...that puts human life and life itself as the foremost. Wouldn't that be devine?
I believe Nichiren Buddhism, specially SGI does accomplish this. It is a great philosophy.
Check out www.sgi-usa.org, also check out Daisaku Ikeda's books on peace.

We can be compassionate.
We can leave our neighbor that little patch of earth, and intrude only with patience and humanity.
We can be tolerant.
We can listen to one another.
I feel ("believe" respectfully deleted) we can share these things. If just you and i do that, then the world is, if only slightly, a better place.

Oddly enough, despite how different our opinions were on your last question, we have the same thought on humanity.
