But if they only go once a week they might not accept the brainwashing and escape.

The real teachers in real schools teach the widely held and approved mythologies already. We want the real thing, the truth.
As far as Sunday School is concerned, wow, what? One day a week, and then five days getting the lies shoved back into them at a public school? Our children are being brainwashed like everyone else's are.
By the way, what makes you think S.S. teachers aren't real teachers?
There's a lot more to teaching than merely pushing information, you know.

The sheep that wanted Benevolent despots like David the wife stealer were warned about this a while back. They don't really believe what they profess and hide this from themselves with blind adherence to Law whether it serves the Balance or only a splash in the celestial waters mini god.

So they have to make sure their kids do not have a broad secular education with which to use the free will the creator endowed in them before the Universe was born. You don't have to follow me, only you can set you free, I am a cult of- I am a cult of - I am a cult of -person all it tea.

Religion should not be a part of a child's education. Religion is an extracurricular study usually "taught" on Sundays at a thing called Sunday school.

I know I wouldn't want my children taught the majority religion here in my home town. I would rather teach them at home and in church. Then again I don't trust the schools to teach them English or math either.. Jim

I gotta disagree with you on this one. Sunday mornings are best left watching Sunday Morning Cartoons than going to school. Like theses poor kids dont get enough of school already.

When I have kids, they're definitely gonna learn about religion. But in school, I expect an A for that test on evolution. Public school is and should be secular. If you want your kids to learn about God in school, send them to a private school.

Seems to make sense to worry about your own and not how others choose to educate their children.... "real teacher in real schools"? Really....

If you want your kids taught atheism why not just be a bad parent and send them to a Communist school?

Instead of trying to get teachers in real Christian schools to teach them the truth?

I don't think my child should have Atheism shoved down their throat!

There is a double standard being presented here. If you are a good atheist you should teach your child at home so they won't fall prey to religion if it is presented in school as a possible reality. That way you would not feel a need to censor the free speech of others irregardless of the subject.

EDIT: The Bible says, "The FOOL has said IN HIS HEART, there is no God." I see at least six fools have given me a thumbs down.
