I am a believer of the Trinity and that scripture makes absolute, clear sense to me. You have to look beyond the surface and take it in context. Don't jump to conclusions. Read the Bible and you will understand. What Jesus is saying here is essentially that God knows the heart of each and every man regardless of what that man professes to other men. If you outwardly profess a true faith that Christ is your saviour, but inwardly have feelings that are otherwise--God knows. God wants us to live a life that is Christ-like. In this context, this is the will of God. Aside from his coming down to die for our sins, Jesus also came to teach us, and to set an example how to live our lives and how to treat others -- that's why it's the New and everlasting Covenant. I don't follow your logic concerning the mansions either. Essentially what Jesus was saying is that there will be is a place for you where you can live like a King with God in heaven forever. I'm not sure how you get the idea that there will be more prophets in the future, and there were other prophets in the past doing the same (preparing mansions). There's nothing in the Bible that suggests this, nor does the passage even implicitly imply such a conclusion. I'm not sure how you arrive at your position. As Christians, our salvation rests upon our acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Saviour. If you want to call this a "destination" that's fine. It is a "destination" in that with this acceptance of Jesus as our Saviour, our salvation is secure. If we truly accept Christ as our Saviour, then we will, naturally, live a Christ-like life. Keep in mind we all are sinners and we all will stray at times.
I wish you the best in your studies. Delve into it deeper and you will find the answers.

In the first verse, Jesus says he will prepare "a" mansion FOR YOU, i.e., the people who he is talking to. While yours is a possible interpretation, his words do not rule out him preparing other mansions (e.g., for other people) in his Father's house.
The second takes a lot more twisting to get it to mean anything like you infer it does. It merely states that some of those who claim to follow him do not, in actuality, follow him and the way to tell the difference is to see if they do the will of the Father.
As for God being greater than Jesus, Trinitarians agree... as long as one is talking about FUNCTION and not NATURE. Difference in function does not equate to an inferiority of nature. All three (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) "could not all take the same role and do the same things" in the work of redemption.
The problem with the Muslim interpretation of Jesus is that they have to pick and choose which verses to use to support their view. A balanced reading of the NT (such as Thomas' confession of Jesus as his "Lord" and his "God", John's prologue, various attributes of Jesus that are only applicable to God alone, etc.) shows that the NT writers considered Jesus fully equal to God.

I don't see what point you are trying to make about the many mansions. He says he will make a mansion for us (that is, like each person gets their own) so naturally there should be many mansions.
And the "Lord, Lord" part is about false belief. Some may call on Christ but they do not mean it in their hearts, they are liars and hypocrites. Christ was very adament against hypocrites, i.e. Matthew 23.

Ah, yes. Classic erroneous interpretation. I'll say this again. Scripture can only be interpreted in context. Context being the ENTIRE BIBLE. Go, cut John 1:1 out of all the Bibles you have, stand in the street and hand 'em out. You'll have a cult following in no time. Then, you'll no longer be bothered by the Christians who read their Bible in its entirety.

once you state that Catholics use Saints or clergymen as intermediaries, it is seen judgmental considering you're accepting those issues as certainty whilst they do no longer look to be. no longer asserting which you meant it as judgmental, in basic terms shows that we actually do no longer use an middleman. we don't worship statues, we don't evaluate Mary as divine or Worship her, we don't confess TO the Priest, we confess to God, in the time of the Priest. we could agree a hundred% with John 14:6. because of the fact i do no longer think of you asked in a bashing reason, i'm going to offer you some propose on comprehend-how the Catholic faith, I even have some perception because of the fact i used to be Protestant my total existence as much as the age of 40 two and then grew to grow to be Catholic after twenty years of reading the religion. a million. Take what Protestant Pastors say approximately what the Catholics have self belief with a grain of salt. think of roughly it, they do no longer look to be Catholic, maximum in no way have been Catholic and extremely some in elementary terms have a three hundred and sixty 5 days or much less of extreme Theology learn. in a similar way you do no longer ask a Tennis coach the info approximately soccer. 2. Get out your replica of the Bible, turn to the hot testomony and consider it alongside with an independent learn handbook (would not ought to be a Catholic one) yet one that explains the meanings of each and every e book, who it became into written to and why. 3. Get a replica or abbreviated replica of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and consider it. The Catechism isn't a supplement to the Bible, besides the undeniable fact that it does supply all of our ideals and the scriptural reasons for them. It applies the Biblical principals to our modern-day existence. Catholics do have ideals that are no longer in the bible, genuine, maximum Christians do besides. The Trinity is in no way suggested in the bible case in point. yet there are no longer any Catholic teachings that pass against the Bible. in case you think of roughly it, did Jesus pass away us the Bible? In a manner definite, it became into actually divinely inspired with the Holy Spirit, however the hot testomony became into no longer compiled till 3 hundred years after Christ, and it became into compiled by potential of the Catholic Church. So Jesus had to have a reason in the back of no longer in elementary terms the Bible, yet in addition his Church and all the Sacraments to maintain us in the Grace of God even in spite of the undeniable fact that we are imperfect. Peace and God Bless!

Jesus is equal to God. God can only forgive sin, Jesus forgave sin. God is only to be worshipped, Jesus accepted worship from his disciples. See the connection?
