Don't listen to people who haven't gotten the piercing, what do they know, honestly.

This is my opinion, but you may take pain differently than I do..

It hurts. But the actual piercing, is cake. Honestly, getting my nose pierced hurt way more than getting my nipples pierced.
But the healing process hurts a heck of a lot more. If you get your nipples pierced you need to be able to devote at least two weeks to not having them touched, bumped or played with in any way.
You need to goto a very experienced piercer, and when you go to get it done, it's NOT a bad thing if the piercer has to mark, and remark. In fact, that should be comforting, because uneven nipple rings look funny. (My boyfriends are uneven. =P) If the piercer says he/she wants to use rings, red flag! Do not get your nipples pierced with rings, only with bars. The rings slow the healing process and make it extremely painful for much longer..

I wore those tank-tops with the built in bra for about a week after getting mine done, because the bra was very uncomfortable...

I love my nipple rings, but the healing was a little annoying. You need to get a good piercer who will willingly be behind you with the aftercare...
Your nipples will be really sensitive, even once they're healed. So that can either be a good thing, or a bad.

It's not an unbearable pain, honestly. It's mostly just very.very. annoying. And take heart, one of my friends who's never had any piercings got hers done and had no problem, whatso ever. =)

Pain is very relative to the the individual feeling it...

And th piercing procedure will certainly contribute to the pain and to how much experienced the piercer is...

Plan how you will go about it after being pierced... Its not the pain during the piercing process but the day after... How will you sleep? How will you take a shower? All these things...

My suggestion... Plan and then do it... Forget the pain... Follow other's advise... Its worth it...

I had both nipples peirced at once, I thoroughly enjoyed it, but everyone is different. It does hurt afterwards for a few days. If you get it done, make sure to turn ur rings when you shower, if not the skin sticks, that hurts worse than the peircing.

ooooooh does it ever hurt!
I had both of mine done. But isnt the pain half the fun of getting a piercing?
I think you should wait a few months inbetween piercings, just so it is not unbearable

aren't people who answer questions with no knowledge of the subject helpful?!

i've had both mine done (best done together if you want both done - otherwise if they're done out of hormonal sync they might not line up... apparently) yeah, it's not the most pain-free of piercings, the piercing itself hurts a lot for a few seconds - then there's (for me, anyway) a massive adrenalin/turned on kick that lasts for a few hours... then it's just painful for a week or 2 if you knock them / if it's cold... then they heal, and it's all good.

Take Tylenol first...not Ibuprofen or aspirin because they thin your blood. Do not drink alcohol because it also thins your blood. Go to someone who knows what they are doing. Trust me, this procedure hurts...more so if you are a female.

Take your finger nails and squeeze your nipple hard. If it hurts, you have a good estimate on how much putting a nipple ring in is going to hurt.

It's like getting the worst titty twister ever, but for several days till they heal.
