I've noticed many of the same Users continually refer to atheism and evolution as religions despite having been given several reasons why this reasoning is flawed..

Why do you think they are so persistent?

Because religion is man made. Salvation comes from God.

Because Evolotion is a theory, and it has adherents that are fanatical about it (faith if you will) which makes it a religion. Contrary to the beliefs of this particuar religion, the "findings" of evolution in no way deny the existence of a Creator God, in fact, when you really understand what these people believe, it embraces the concept of a Creator. The universe is just too complex for evolution to adequately explain.

Atheism is also a theory. Atheist have faith that God does not exist. Unlike evolution, though, there is no obvious way to prove the non-existence of the Creator God. There are, however, many proofs of the existence of a Creator. The diversity of life we see around us confirms an Intellegent Designer.

Bottom line, a lot of theories could be religions because people have faith that they are true. Patriotism can be a religion, for instance.

Why are you so unaware of what an atheist is? extra to the element in case you do not understand what an atheist is why are you so illiberal, hate crammed, bigoted and persecuting in the direction of them?! ATHEIST - somebody who does not have self assurance in a God – any God – not merely the Christian one. yet that doesn't mean they don't carry solid ethical or non secular ideals! they could persist with any faith that doesn't have a god and there are particularly some those! Like BUDDHISM – non secular coaching from Buddha and his followers that by making use of destroying greed, hatred and fable (the reason for all suffering) guy can attain suitable enlightenment! the place do you think of christianity have been provided that is innovations of a soul and afterlife from for goodness sake? They stole it from the pagan tribes and peoples which existed thousands and thousands of years earlier christianity! contained in united statesa., atheism is secure decrease than the 1st substitute's loose workout Clause. Probably because of one of the definitions of religion. Check this out.

religion - an objective pursued with fervor or conscientious devotion

Another reason might be even simpler to understand.

We know that Samuel F.B. Morse was the inventor of the Morse Code.

It requires a lot of faith to believe that an explosion of nothing caused by nothing billions of years ago resulted in the DNA code.

It requires intelligence and a little humility to admit that design
is evidence of a Designer.

Both of them are a religion because both Atheism and Evolution are based on faith. Atheist believe by "faith" that God doesn't exist, just like by "faith" Christians believe he does exist. And evolutionists...I mean really, it takes more faith to believe that something came from nothing than to believe that God created everything. By the way, fossils don't prove evoulution. Fossils prove that something or someone was living at some point in time.

Some of thees believers are morons, plain and simple morons.

Evolution is based on faith they say ?? How about the tens of thousands of fossils that prove without a doubt evolution occurred ?

The problem is they get their science from the pulpit and it's a few thousand years behind the times

How pathetic those people are

What makes common religion a religion....religion is man made and is basically the same concept that if i was to worship Banans as our holy creator then i could start a religion of saying that Bananas are holy. Religion is just a belief with no proof to back it, basically because someone once upon a time said it was truth.

Well, I never have referred to them as religions, but in the strict sense of the word I would, IMHO, consider it to be accurate.

One of the definitions of "religion" is as follows: a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith.

Non-belief and the belief in evolution is indeed, held on to with ardor. They are also held on to with a measure of faith since God's non-existence cannot be proven (you cannot prove a negative). Evolution is still considered a theory without answers to the ultimate question. Where did that initial single-celled organism ... that initial spark of life that supposedly evolved into the many wonderful species of life we now have ... come from?

Just my opinion, for what it's worth.

When one is conditioned to believe that everyone has to religiously believe in something they instantly ascribe religious properties to the beliefs of others, even when they are inherently non-religious. Besides, some of us actually refer to ourselves as "Deeply religious non-believers" like Dawkins and Einstein.
