It's illegal to download it for free, you need another copy of the disk... just call Microsoft and maybe they'll work it all out.

It would be illegal to download it without paying for the product. There's actually no need to download Office 2000 as you can save any documents you compile in Office 2007 as readable by earlier versions of Office. When you save a document, click on File, Save As, and then select Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP. Edit: You could even download OpenOffice, which is Microsoft Office compatible, yet is FREE to download, install, and use.

There is NO free download for ANY version of Microsoft Office except for a 30 day trial version of the current release.

Microsoft doesn't give it away for free because they are in business to make money.

You can try Open Office. It works well and is free.

Any free download will be an illegal, pirated copy. You can do a Google search for the application. You'll probably find an inexpensive copy on e-bay.

You don't even need M$-Office, and you don't have to steal it.

Try Open Office, it's free and compatible with M$-Office.
