I have heard that we must love ourselves before we can love another person (and it may be true). But it has never seemed to work for me. So, I thought I would offer another (additional) means along that tangent. So I was just wondering if we might try to understand ourselves a little better before we try to understand others (even the crazy little things we are and do, and of course, the no-brainers that we can do and not do.) Parethesis means to whisper?
(Please excuse my spelling, I don't have spell check on this software.)
I certainly hope you will enjoy how we might better understand and describe ourselves, to ourselves and others.(Especially your mate or best friend, as this exercise was an excerpt from my book "Encyclopedia of Love", which I don't recommend that you purchase because it is too lengthy and too boring.) - did you whisper that parenthetical phrase?
You now have a method to describe yourself. Simply write a paragraph or two by using your chosen statements.

Example: If you chose numbers 1,2,4,5,41,42,58, and 60; (I know you chose a lot more statements, but I am sure you get my drift.)
You could describe yourself as: "I consider myself a fair person (1). However, I am wary of strangers (2). I have a strong sense of justice (4), but I am compassionate (5). I usually keep my things neat and clean (41), but I (presently) have dirty dishes in my sink (42). I like cheddar cheese (58) and I eat too many cookies (60). -

Dear "kharm" - Please go back to my earlier 5 thing questions for more profound and I hope more important questions. (The examples you gave illustrate there are a lot of things we can't do, so why jump on each other for not being able to prove our hypothesis.)

Dear "danni" - Contraire, (sweet one) that is one of things honest people always (usually) admit to. Thanks for the input.

Thank you so much Uncle Wayne63! I am glad to see that the questions actually went somewhere!
Unfortunately, my paragraphs are contradictory and confusing. :0( I look like a loony person!
Well, if the shoe fits . . . . :0)

HBK!! 1. Entertaining- He gives good promo's and really electrifies a crowd! 2. Passionate- You can tell he loves his job, he gives so much emotion and heart to the WWE. 3. Good wrestler- He's worked his whole life to become the wrestler he is today, and he's one of the best alive. 4. Ability to turn heel or face- He has tha thistory where if he turns on someone again, he'll get instant heat, but if he's not hated by a crowd, he's loved by them. 5, Overcome's odds- He was at the COMPLETE BOTTOM after he got that back injury he "Lost his smile" and he came back with a fighting effort and now look at him. Those are just a few things that makes The Showstoppa, The Icon, The Main Event so great!

Ah, shoot. I thought it was either a sneaky way to find out stuff about us that you shouldn't know (suspicious of strangers) or a legitimate test (too trusting) that would tell us what we are in the end. You know like a Myers-Briggs or something.
I expected to be told "you are a 2, 2's can't find their shoes half the time and spit out the window on Tuesday, hate cats, are crazy lost drivers, but make great, faithful and witty friends. Now you tell me that I have to go back and figure it all out, by my self!! Boo, hoo....

Yes, I've been waiting for the reason why I answered all those "pick 5" Q's.
:) and yes, I did whisper your parenthetical phrase. :)
Thanks for the new way to describe myself. That was neat.
...I have relatives who are Thornton's.

Cool. I think that we all should learn things about ourselves. Generalizations are causing problems when interacting with others.

funny. I'm right now in my life looking to love myself more. I have been told I'm codependent. I feel compelled to make others happy even if it doesn't make me happy. You should read the hills like white elephants on my blog.

What does licking your elbow and closing your eyes while sneezing have to do with anything? Those are true for everybody.
