That is a complicated question. Gallons measure how much of something there is and tons measure how heavy something is, so it is not just like converting inches to centimeters. There are different kinds of motor oil with different thicknesses and they will each weigh different amounts, and since it is used there are other impurities in there that will effect the weight. So this number will not be exact. But a gallon of W30 motor oil weighs about 6.8 pounds. So your 37,104 gallons would weigh about 252,307.2 pounds, or about 114.444 metric tons.

Gallon is used to measure Volume but tons used to measure weight. Normally 1ton=1000 kilos and 1 gallon=3.78 liters. And the other rule says 1liter pure water weights 1 kilos. Everything else weights different depends on the density.
If we take water in this sample; 2900gallons water will be 10962 liters and it will weight 10962 kilos what is 10.962 tons. But if you are talking about different liquid, numbers will change. For instance raw oil would weight less. TY

Gallons of what?
If it's water, 1 gallons weighs 10lb and 1 ton is 2240lb so 2900 gallons of water weighs 29000 / 2240 = 12.946 (approx) tons.
Note: these are UK measures – adapt appropriately for US.

For water in US gallons.
1 gallon = 8.3 pounds
2,900 gallons = 24,070 lbs
1 metric ton = 2,200lbs
24,070 ÷ 2,200 = 10.9 Tons: Answer.
For any other liquid, multiply by the S.G. of the liquid.
Example: An oil with S.G. of 0.85:
= 0.85 x 10.9 = 9.265 tons.

You need to specify what they are gallons of. They could be water or they could be textured paint with sand in it. If it was water it would be about 12 tons.
Expand the detail in your question to get more specific weights.

You need to input the density of your fluid
2900 gal / 7.48 gal/ft^3 x Density lb/ft^3 / 2000 lb/ton
