I don't think they come here just to do harm to this country but....I'm sure there ARE people here that do harm. Again, I don't think they come here for that reason but it happens. How many citizens of this country do harm? Many....it's not just illegals or just a certain race. If we are to correct the wrongs in this country, we need not look at the race that is causing the problems but the problems themselves.

12-20 million and their children. They are committing crimes and that does harm to law-abiding citizens -- identity theft, fraud, etc. Their illegal entry was willful and premeditated and with intent to commit illegal acts. If a citizen -- say your neighbor moved into your town to find work and stole a new identity and sent money to another country to protect it from the law and promote others to come and do the same thing, wouldn't you want him punished? What if that same neighbor moved in 10 years ago and has been a model citizen ever since. He is now your friend and you just found out that 10 years ago he robbed a bank to feed his family and help him get a better life (he didn't hurt anyone in the robbery) and now he wants amnesty? How about if he is found and holes up in a church to protect himself from the law? Why would this be any different than what an illegal immigrant does every day? What if it was your son's identity that he stole and that has caused your son all kinds of problems, would you still feel it's okay?

Check the statistics of jail populations in states bordering Mexico. There has been a surge in crime. I have nothing against legal immigrants who came here to work and make a better living for themselves and their families. As for the illegals, send them back.

Extremely few. But as you correctly point out, it is a matter of belief and not of statistics, You believe the worst, and you can't prove it. I believe the best, and I can't prove it either. This is a non-question.
