i've got self assurance in the grace and mercy of God so sure i've got self assurance in the skill of the deathbed confession. What human beings would desire to fully comprehend is that not all people has the possibility to have a deathbed confession. death would nicely be so on the spot that there is not any time to admit ones sins and ask forgiveness.

It has about as much validity as the claim Pope John Paul recanted Christianity on his death bed.
What Christians fail to understand is that the truth of scientific theories do not rise or fall on the beliefs of individual scientists but on the evidence confirming or denying the predictions and retrodictions the theories make.

After reading a bit, I can say that I am convinced that Charles Darwin died without attributing himself to God . . . verbally.
So is he or isn't he saved? I have no idea. But Athiests may be comforted in knowing that he died like a heathen. At least I think that he did.

I am a Christian. I do not believe this story.
Many people write books and use material that will sell to certain audiences. This happens in all areas of literature, from novels to short stories, and from science to science-fiction, unfortunately.

Considering Charles Darwin and his beliefs, there is a good likelihood that is folklore but you never know there is always that slight possibility he did. But whomm I to judge?

I only know that if you want to be in heaven, it is not too late in the deathbed as long as you are still alive. This is really between him and God. No one knows. If he is in heaven now, he sure hopes to see all of you too.

Yes there are. Then again they believe that they're eating jesus' body and blood every week and that the earth is 6,000 years old so we don't really take them seriously
