she's always 30 minutes late but the head honchos are not in early so she doesn't get caught. I think its not fair to everybody that she is always late, she always lies about errands to take a longer lunch break and gets to leave an hour early. What should I do? and how do I go about doing it without getting fired for telling.

Don't do anything. It's not your responsibility and if you do try to take some action it could come back to bite you. Just do your job the best you can and stop worrying about what somebody else is doing or not doing. Trust me on this. If someone is not pulling their weight the bosses know. If they choose to do nothing about it, maybe they have a reason that you don't know about. Unless someone is doing something illegal and you have direct knowledge of it, it's best do mind your own business. It's her bosses' problem, not yours.

Don't be so sure the bosses are not aware of the situation. Perhaps they don't care, or they allow her the flexibility because of how long she has worked, her skills, or in lieu of a raise, a compelling personal reason -- or whatever.

Unless you personally are this person's supervisor or manager, you should not bring it up to the bosses. No matter how very right you are in your claims, it is going to cause a situation, and they will most likely blame YOU, not her, for causing it.

If you feel you can not live without letting them know, send them an email with documentation of the situation. if you want anonymity, make a 'throwaway' free email account and send it from there. Once they get the email, they will know what the situation is. But don't be surprised if nothing changes.

Does it affect your work performance? Does she do her job? Do you live in an area where traffic is bad, and that's why she's late? I come into work late a lot, but I also stay late, and I get my work done. I agree with the person who said, "Leave it alone." Your bosses probably do know about it.

I know it's aggravating but the grown up thing to do is just let it go. Just hope that when you are there that long, people overlook your issues as well! Or, the childish thing to do is just start coming in late too! Or better yet, why don't you all start coming in when she comes in! Just say you thought it wasn't a problem so.....why not?!

Unless you were hired to watch and supervise other employees keep you nose out of it. You have no idea what she has worked out with management. Three of us turned in our Foreman for theft one time, (even had a video tape of him stealing). We were called into a room and the VP came in and told us we could be fired for what we did. Found out later the VP was involved with our foreman in the stealing.

Why do you care? Do your job. Either the bosses know about her schedule or they will find out. Getting involved will only make things difficult for you.

No offence ment but please mind you business and just do the job you were hired to do. What other workmates do is non of your business unless that's what you were hired to do.
