Kirk Cameron, the former child star, is a devout christian.

No doubt, he accepts the banana argument, regardless of whether or not he helped in developing it.

So, no. It wasn't a joke. It wasn't a parody of creationist malevolence to science. This is actually how they think, and it accurately reflects their logic.

Creationists put a lot of critical thinking into this argument.

Flattering, isn't it?
Or is it more scary than anything?

The banana argument belongs to Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron. Don't try to pin that on the atheists!

Well, maybe Ray Comfort is a closet atheist and he's trying to lead people away from Christianity by using all the worst arguments for it. But I think he's working for the Jesus team.

I think they were trying to disprove evolution right? Saying God made the bananas to perfectly fit in a human hand, not a monkeys. Anyway if it was meant to be taken seriously it missed the mark.

I just found out what that was today, and it's hilarious. I thought it was a parody at first, and was a little horrified to find that it wasn't. That guy seems a little mentally impaired... Let's apply this theory to the pineapple, shall we?
