I have to choose between a 2007 Chevy Aveo (spring options package. Maui blue, Sun roof, 15' Wheels...) and a 2006 Kia Spectra. The Kia has more options but the reviews seem better on the Aveo. Anybody have either of these? Any problems. I am leaning toward the Aveo but I think it's because I like the color. The kia is white. Thanks for any help you can give.
(the price range for the two is about the same)

Both cars are new. The 2006 Kia is "leftover" from last year. The warranties are similar for both.

aveo's smaller. spectra's bigger. my bf work in a kia workshop before and told me the car that get most complaints from customers are spectra.my bro in law used it, yeah,it's a bit fussy.
for all i know, depends on how u use it. if u use it well, it works well.

Actually the 2007 Chevy Aveo probably has GM's 5 year/100K warranty. GM's warranty is transferable and this warranty would transfer to you.
Kia's 10 year/100K warranty is only if you purchase the vehicle new. If you purchase the vehicle used, the warranty drop down to only 3 year/36K, so what Bob-O states about the warranty is incorrect.
However, before purchasing either car either ask for the warranty information. Even if you are purchasing a used 2007 Chevy Aveo, it should have GM's 5 year/100K warranty on it. They started this last year some time.
Ok, if they are both new, remember, the GM's warranty is transferable! while the Kia's is not!

I sold Chevy's for a while and every customer who purchased an Aveo from me was very happy. I really don't know much about the spectra, but I can tell you that people who purchase the Aveo seem to love them. And yes, 100k warranty for the 07 chevy.

I own two Aveo's. An 04&07. In terms of ride quality, styling, handling, and overall value for the money, they can't be outdone. I would recommend the Aveo.

See if you can find an issue of last months Consumer Reports. It had all of the 2007 models reviewed.
Kia's going to have the better warranty. Don't base your decision on color.

Aveo - as much as I hate the cars looks and tininess. It is a better car than the Korean made KIA.
Which has had several recalls, and numerous complaints.
I'd look around for other options....
