Years ago they removed 'lead' from paint as 'lead' is not good for Humans or the Environment. However as paint went, lead paint, might have to paint again in 10 years time. Having removed this, they needed to find a substitute, other chemicals. Some people love the smell of paint and others get ill from it, which is why they state 'use in a well ventilated room' so the fumes given off during the drying phase can escape. I tried the new fumes free paint and the smell of that was worse. I also had some curtains dry cleaned, could not go near them or the room they were hanging in. Next time I had curtains dry cleaned I told this to the cleaner and he said 'Oh I could have added a nicer smell, if you had told me!' I guess some people are just sensitive to odors?
