Oh... a METAPHOR! Like how the world being created in 6 days, a woman was created from a man's rib, and they got kicked out of a garden for eating something at the urgeing of a snake? That kind of metaphor?

Privratnik, oh dear... you seem to not grasp the metaphor yourself! This is called wordplay. I have taken the word "knit," which you have eloquently defined for us, and used a different meaning - the one involving yarn. I have then used this to carry me into a metaphor - the incomplete sweater - for an incomplete baby. You are like the 1st year French student who thinks he can translate Les Miserable.

Creatrix, you were wonderfully" formed" in your mother's womb. Before the creation of the world, God knew you would be born, and he knew when. He made you the wonderfully unique person you are. There is no one on the face of this earth like you ! Isn't that awesome ? The life you enjoy is a loving gift from our Father in Heaven. And to think, I have connected with you in this forum, the one and only "unique" Creatrix !

I understand your desire to discredit anything you don't agree with, but you've just demonstrated a lack of basic linguistic understanding.
The word "knit" is not defined solely as a yarn-craft. Acording to dictionary.com, the word knit also means...
"to join closely and firmly, as members or parts (often fol. by together): The tragedy knitted the family closer together."
and
"to form or create from diverse sources or elements: She knitted her play from old folk tales and family anecdotes. "
and
"to become closely and firmly joined together; grow together, as broken bones do. "
In fact, there are more definitions that DO NOT refer to yarn than those that do. Check out the unbiased link below.

This is one that is totally beyond my comprehension. I admit I never heard the saying of being knit in the womb, it's an interesting metaphor, but my mother didn't know how to knit, so I would have been lopsided. And I'm certainly not a sweater.

DNA is the basic chromosomal material, containing and transmitting the hereditary pattern. This curl represents yarn and the Bible said this thousands of years before DNA was drawn to make us realize what DNA looks like in the body. The double helix represents yarn for knitting.

Ever heard of this thing called a metaphor?
And yes....we were wonderfully & fearfully CREATED in our mothers' wombs
Edit:
You have to understand....there are certain instances that contain metaphors....and certain instances that contain absolute truth. A study of some basic exegesis will lead you into when to translate which is which.
Genesis creation story -- Absolute truth
Being "knit" in our mothers' wombs -- metaphor

Gad has nothing to do with simple biology. A zygote is not a thing of creation. It is the simple biology of two simple cells joining its contents and multiplying.
