Life without Lord Krishna is worst than death ,its like a body without soul,so,if at any moment we forget the Lord we have died Krsna consciousness means to revive ones consciousness about Bhagavan & ones relations & then actions based on the knowledge of that relationship with Lord and ulitmate is Prema or Pure love of Godhead or Krsna-Prema that is the coveted goal of all devotees.

dying while living is a term used to sacrifice things of the world to keep your flesh from controlling you. one way to do this is through fasting.people let their flesh control them everyday whether its tv choclate smoking alchol or any earthly thing...think you dont want any of these thing then try to go a few days without it?? i try not to and its hard cuz your mind is tellin you you want it... so to take thes earthly things away and you start to feel dead because technically none of them matter while were here they wont help us get into heaven...people even use food as a fast some pastors will fast for spiritual revalation or if they are goin to minister, it controls the flesh and allows for spiritual movement.
