Thanks a lot folks! Off the record I don't wax, but I'm very particular about having good facial skin and take a lot of care of my scalp hair, that seems to be okay,

Like a lot of you said though a lot of it seems to be personal taste if you read through the answers but what I did pick up though is that women of all taste seem to place well kept hands and fingers as a high priority, never even thought twice about my own and could def improve on that so cheers!

That entirely depends on the lady.
For example, I like men with hair on top of their heads and not much anywhere else. I just think hair rubbing up against my bare skin is not that pleasing-- my best friend and roommate on the other hand likes a guy with lots of chest hair and leg hair.
I think, generally speaking, we don't mind hair in the regular places -- chest, legs, arms -- but please no back hair, and try to keep the butt clear, tool
As far as facial hair, every woman I know prefers a smooth face -- beards and mustaches can tickle, scratch, or burn -- but if you're going to have some, keep it nicely trimmed and even.
Highlights, all the rest -- as long as it looks good on *you*, its all good with the women. Metrosexuals are increasingly popular these days.
And when all else fails, take a look at Hollywood. While women don't expect that level of perfection, those men are famous for a reason...

My husband trims his body hair with clippers that a barber would use (wahl brand sold at any store like Wal-mart or Target is great). It's the best solution because it's not high maintenance (only needs to do it every 1-2 months) and is inexpensive. Also women like a little hair here and there so that the man doesn't look like a 12 yr old boy. So trimmimg it leaves just enough to still look sexy but yet not hairy like a gorilla!

Also, always be shaven and a cleanly shaven and shaped back of the neck and hairline. Always use a nose hair trimmer (and in the ear if necessary). Shave neck. Trim down pubic hairs very short with hairdresser scissors and armpit hair slightly short.

Pluck with tweezers any big obvious stray hairs from eyebrow area or in between eyebrows. You should only be plucking 5-10 hairs all together, any more and it will be obvious.

Keep toenails and fingernails short, even and clean and cuticles moisturized. Occasional manicure and pedicure is ok if needed.

Also moisturize your skin, lotion all over so that you don't have rough knees, hands. elbows.

Nice clean teeth (and tongue) with fresh breath.

Always have some cologne on but very subtle, not overwhelming.

Always wear deodorant or Shower to Shower powder.

The slightest highlights, stress to the hairdresser that you don't want chunky highlights and you want her/him to use toner on it to tone it down so that it looks natural. you can also use a little Sun-in when you are in the sun. Just spray a little the first time and then get a feel for how much you need the next time.

DO NOT:
-shave chest, legs, armpits
-wax eyebrows, chest, etc (back is ok if it is necessary)
-dye hair blonde or anything crazy
-go tanning

I think you're going to find varying opinions on how primped women prefer guys to be. Personally, I think that waxing is going too far. The prickly chest in between waxings isn't sexy at all.
As for highlights and such, I think its okay as long as it looks natural, peroxide blonde streaks on dark brown hair would not be a good choice.

One thing I love is when a guy takes care of his hands. (i.e. trims cuticles, keeps nails evenly trimmed, uses lotion to keep hands soft) I once dated a guy that would even get manicures every so often.

Chest waxing, yes. Highlights, not so much, very light. I love a guy that is well dressed, fingernails clean and manicured. I love a man who is groomed, there is not such thing as going to far, but lets not over do as "feminine". Clean cut, yes!

Depends at the man's individual form and his motives for doing matters- if it is to hold himself watching placed-in combination and attractive, why no longer? I'm girly, I do not think threatened through a person who primps. I'm no longer a colossal fan individually of highlights on guys, however that is due to the fact I opt for darkish hair. =three

I'm with muffet. I really, really like a well-shaved face, and I'm not fussy about the other stuff. To me, unless a guy is a bodybuilder or a model - which would be fine with me ;-)) - body waxing is too much. In fact, the only guy I ever went out with who was insecure about his body hair was also always on me to get a boob job (like his mom...). AFAIC, clean, clean shaven and on time are all I care about.

Love a man well kept. Waxing is good, do not like hairy men. I think highlights are too much. OK with manicures.

if u have a forest for a chest, please trim the trees. Highlights are too girlie, waxing eyebrows is girlie, putting clear polish on any of your nails is girlie. Constantly combing your hair every few minutes is girlie

whatever that makes the guy happy. as long as he doesnt put on pink blush, red lipstick, nail polish and constantly stop to see himself everytime he sees a mirror, i'm fine with whatever he does to himself. theres nothing wrong with grooming.
