I don't think much of the new Pope or that last one.
I am Christian and I think our only mediator between God and man is Jesus the Christ as it says in the bible. I think calling someone, "holy father" is also a sin as it says in Matthew and the bible says there is only one that is holy-God.
I think the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) has gotten far far away from bible teachings and teaches the traditions of men-over the bible.
I think Mary worship (prayer, singing, apparitions) are the biggest sin the RCC is guilty of.
One lie, upon another lie, upon another has hurt the RCC. Many who read the bible leave the RCC. We have many in my church now. They all say the same thing, "when i read the NT I realized the lies."
God judges the heart. I pray those who truly seek him in the RCC will come to the Truth.
I know these are hard words. I only pray one will read what I've written and pray and check my words out with the bible.

Catholic Christians and non-Catholic Christians do worship the same God. While they may not necessarily worship side-by-side, that day will come. How do I know? With God, nothing is impossible.
There are two reasons why the Pope has come to Brazil. First, the Brazilian government has just legalized abortion. Abortions are morally unacceptable under any and all circumstances.
Second, it is the opinion of the Church that this recent political development may have something to do with the fact a large number of Catholics are leaving the Church to become Evangelical Christians.
Typically, Evangelicals (in America) are every bit as anti-abortion as Catholic Christians are. However, most other Christian denominations have accepted the idea that, under certain circumstances, abortions are morally acceptable.
There seems to be a social/political shift going on in Brazil. This has lead to a decrease in membership of the Catholic Church, and this is believed to have resulted in the social acceptance of the moral evil of abortion.
I don't know what your feelings are on the subject but, take it from me - I live in America where abortion is legal - nothing good will come from Brazil legalizing abortion.
With regards to a number of other grossly misinformed answerers, Pope Benedict was not a nazi.
He did come of age in Nazi Germany, but his family was forced to move from one part of the country to another because of the family's staunch negative attitude towards nazi politics.
Conscription was a way of life in Nazi Germany, so Joseph Ratzinger was drafted into the Hitler Youth as a boy and, later on as an adult, was conscripted into the German army's artillery division. The point being, he did not become a Hitler Youth or a soldier by his own choice. It was forced upon him against his will.
Those screaming "nazi pope" don't care for these facts because all they want to do is hate, in this case, Catholics.

I am no longer a Catholic and I see no proof that Pope Benedict XVI isn't welcome in any nation. On the opposite he appears to be attaining out and being permitted in such a lot nations. His wartime list is of no outcome as he used to be seconded to the Hitler adolescence for indoctrination, obligatory to all teens in Germany and Austria on the time. He used to be assigned to an antiaircraft battery protective a BMW plant and abandoned in the beginning possibility. There is not any proof of Nazi sympathies. I don't consider his Ecumenical motion because it homogenizes Christianity and entails many affects from external the light. I consider he's a honest guy looking to do his first-class. According to St Malachy (Prophecy) this Pope would be the final precise Pope and the following one Peter the Roman is probably not a Christian and can lead the Church into Apostasy. The new Pope like all other Popes before him is the Vicar of Christ and successor to S. Peter.
He is not a nazi either but a good man who prays for the whole world and is very humble unlike the reprobates on here who can do nothing but poke insults.
Yes Catholics and Protestants can and do worship the same God and how could it be otherwise?

I LOVE the Holy Father. GOD BLESS HIM!
Yes, Protestants and Catholics can worship together, only the protestants cannot receive holy communion because they do not believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

I didn't like him when he was Cardinal Ratzinger, and I'm not going to start liking him just because he was chosen as Pope.
As for your other question, Protestants and Catholics DO worship the same God -- they just (usually) don't do it together, because they have very different ways of doing it.

I am not a catholic so I don't think much of him. We have one Father who is in heaven.
I don't feel he will be in "office" long. 6 or 8 years max. Then the next will be in place. An evil one is coming.
