Are we the custodians to bestow upon the lower animals and plants as the Angels do upon us?

We are SUPPOSED to be custodians but we are not angels.
1 Genesis 1:28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
Please note that animals are not listed as food.

Check your thinking. You are referring to the great cosmic lie called the "great chain of being" which basically implies everything below us is less.
Yes we are custodians. But no, we have never behaved as angels to animals.
In fact have you ever seen what happens at your local chicken farm? You should. Everyone should.
Little chicks are pumped full of hormones so that in a few weeks they grow to young chickens. Then they are scooped up into big dump trucks to be carted off for slaughter- wonderful life!

What a... human way of thinking.
Angels as in superior beings? I don't think so. I don't see myself as being above animals in any way. A crow is looking down on me right now. We certainly haven't behaved like angels toward them. If we did, we wouldn't torture and murder them savagely for inconsequential things. We're animals, just a different sort.

While I don't think animals ought to be hunt for trophies and such.When it comes to sustenance,although I am an animal,I am a Human animal,and that puts me unashamedly at the top of the food chain. DINNERTIME!PASS THE CHICKEN AND STEAK!!!

I've always thought my cats were in charge of me. They certainly have me trained. If they view me as anything, I think it is the Food Provider.
