There were a few hundred answers on there. I'm imagining somebody who answers this will have seen it, I'm sure. I suppose it's by Jane Fonda, as much as I'm Naturegirl. On here you can name yourself anything you want. But I doubt that's her real name.

I mean, why would she ask a question about the upcoming movie she's starring in instead of one of the many that she's in that are already on video?? She's also an activist against our government's military involvement in many of the wars. Why didn't she ask a question about that instead, if she cares about it so much??

Many got on there and answered her question, many simply used it as an opportunty to ridicule her on her political views. There was only one girl who said, "who cares?? What about the war in Iraq?" That girl, I have to admit, wasn't me. I'm a little slow sometimes. ;)

In addition, Yahoo gave her a 10 day extention! I'm betting it's a ploy to draw attention to the movie so they will have a big turnout.

Madjer21, you did not read my question, did you? I don't care what you think of her anti-American sentiments. Try actually answering a question when you choose to answer.

It says official. BUT... I think it's more a promo for her new film Georgia Rules than a political debate. Last I saw over 1,400 people responded.

It has her name, but it was probably done by her publicist or the movie company. And of course it is a ploy to draw attention to the movie.
I notice there is a little ad that pops up when I first log in to Y!A promoting that movie and then - there's her question! What a coincidence...
There are over 1,200 answers so far, and about a third are critical of her behavior during Vietnam War. Those are my favorite answers.

No, none of those "sponsored" questions are from the real celebs. Yahoo sells that space to the movie companies and book publishers (which are all mostly owned by the same half-dozen mega-media giants).

I took full advantage of the opportunity to give Hanoi Jane my opinion of her, however, not that she'll ever read it. It's one thing to be against war, as I am, but it's a whole 'nother ball game to be photographed sitting on an enemy anti-aircraft gun, smiling.

One is "loyal opposition"; the other is "treason". That traitor should have been boycotted into poverty 35 years ago.

Yes, I saw it, too. No, I don't think it was Jane Fonda personally. However, it may well have been her "people" doing it for her. I agree with the last sentence in your question. I think it's a publicity draw as well. She, or her PR publicist, is trying to promote her new movie.

Even a big celebrity like Fonda can take some time away from treason to plug her new movie.

She is an excellent capitalists in practice if not in theory.

It's just movie promotion and we need to separate celebrities from policy makers.

I expect I, like many who served in the service in the Nam era could not think less of her. For myself, her drawing attention that she is in something just ensures I will not see it.
