TOTALLY crap some of the pope's best friends were Jewish and a lot of non-jewish Poles suffered and died in Auschwitz.

Mehmet Ali Agca claimed he had help from "inside the Vatican". He never said a word about "Atheists in Kremlin". Google him.
And of course the pope forgave him. Like he had a choice...

Nope, I never heard about that. Then again, I wasn't old enough to remember anything. It just goes to show that John Pall the 2nd was the ultimate of forgivers. He set a great example for all of us. Why can't we all just get along!?
