The top number refers to Systolic blood pressure, which is the maximum amount of pressure in your arteries.

The bottom is Diastolic, which is the pressure in the arteries when the heart is at rest.

Both will be affected positively with the right diet and exercise regimen.

Both numbers are affected by exercise. They increase during exercise and decrease following exercise. Exercising regularly will result in your resting blood pressure being lower.
