I haven't gotten stung by a bee, wasp,etc. since the early teens. can I still be allergic to them?

Yes you can still be allergic. Antibodies stay in your system and will react to the sting. Some allergies are outgrown, but I have not heard of anyone I know personally outgrowing an allergy to insect stings.
Consult your doctor and if he agrees, you should carry an
epi-pen just in case. It is a pre-loaded syringe of epinephrine administered after sting if you exhibit signs of allergic reaction.
Please be very careful. This is not something to mess around with. I have a dear friend that almost died in my backyard after getting stung for the first time in 15 years!

Call your doctor and don't antagonize any pesky stinging flying things!

Allergic reactions to bee stings rarely go away with age.

You should probably go to best tested to see if you are still allergic to insect stings. It is a possibility that you might not have an allergy reaction. But why risk it
