Could have been pork. Lots of Chinese dishes have pork, and it is known as "The other white meat". The texture is similar to chicken.
Or, maybe it was tofu. Tofu has a texture much different than chicken or pork.

Most Chinese restaurants serve chicken, duck, squab, goose for poultry. Maybe it was squab?
Some vegetarian dishes use gluten to imitate meat or poultry.
Taiwanese restaurants have a dish called "chicken roll" but it's made from pork.
Cantonese restaurants also serve frog legs which has texture similar to chicken.

U r soo stupid. it taste like chicken but it's not, then it's a chick, duh. Chicks r not chickens ok.
Is this some kind of riddle or something cuz u had a chinese for lunch( could be a chinese man, woman, bugs.)

you never heard the joke about the two friends at a chinese resturant they eat the meat and argue about which animal it came from one said goat and one said pork, so to prove each other wrong they call the waiter, who apparently doesnt know english so the first guy points at the food and goes "baaa" and the waiter shakes his head then his friend points at the food and goes "oink oink" and the waiter again shakes his head and then the waiter while nodding points at the food and goes "woof woof"
