More than a few times! The horrendous part is that when I come round from the fit part of the hypo, I'm still monstrously mashed, can't talk or move voluntarily. It's no fun when your arms & legs spasm when you try & move.
What is even less fun is when it has happened & I've not had anyone around to help or even been able to call for help. Waking up in the ambulance or in hospital is strangely a relief. I know that the worst is over & I'm safe. Until the next time it happens & I spend the next couple of days finding bruises in new & interesting places. Fortunately I've not broken any bones, but I have dislocated my shoulder twice.
I'm tempting fate I know, but it's not happened for eight months. My record is eighteen months fit free.

I have had a few diabetic fits, they are quite scary. The first time it happened, i didn't know that this could be a symptom of a hypo and thought i might have had a drink drugged or something like that. It usually happens if i haven't eaten enough during the day.

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/p666E
A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.

Yes. Due to a number of complications, one of these being neuropathy (nerve-ending trouble), I no longer sense hypos coming on. Hence, my blood sugars fall to such a low level before anyone realises. Usually, a glucagon injection will bring me round, but sometimes even that isn't enough, and I have to be admitted to hospital for treatment ... normally intravenous glucose.

I suffered another hypo this morning....I'm full of cuts/grazes and bruises all over my body due to convulsing around on the floor....I realise what was happening and what needed to be done but I just couldn't get any food or sugar into me....

When I was preagnant with my second baby. My 2 yr old was running around the house I remember sitting in the chair it was 10:00 am. everything went black. when I awoke at about 5:15 pm. I remember walking around the house feeling like everything was a fog, I was disoriented, I couln't figure out where the day went what I had done. My 2 yr old thank god nothing happened to him. he was in everything, My dr said I was in a coma and the only reason I came out of it was that my liver stored extra sugars that finally brought me out of it. very scarey. u can be here one minute gone the next.

Yeah I've had fits twice - I think it's actually more scary for the people around you! Neither time I went to hospital, although I dunno if I should've or not! I think both were following an extra lot of exercise earlier in the day. Hypos suck! xxx
