I worked midnights so my sister and I had gone out one morning for breakfast after I got off work. We walked in and stood at the door waiting to be seated. We waited there for about five minuets. There was only one table with customers. We got seated and the server disappeared. Permanently. We never even got to order drinks. We waited for about twenty minuets before we finally gave up. I went to talk with the manager but when I tried to explain to him what happened he just looked at me and said so what. Needless to say we never went back there. I still don't understand why it happened. We went there almost every morning. Oh well.

My brother and I used to frequent a bar/restaurant locally because the good food and atmosphere. The first time we went there it was just slammed, but we ordered 2 hamburgers from a clearly uninterested waitress and proceeded to wait 1 hr. We caught the attention of the manager and inquired about our food. He discovered that the waitress never put the order in. The food was quickly delivered by the original waitress who just quipped "Sorry" as she dropped off the food. The manager was apologetic and erased the cost of the food, all we paid for was the drinks. We decided the give the place another chance and the service was better. One summer my little bro was in town with is girl and we decided to take them to the same place. As fate would have the original waitress who served us the first time was back. Her skills had not improved, I was looking at the menu when she walked up and before I could tell her what I wanted she tapped me rather roughly on the arm. I shoke it off and gave my order, despite the bar being nearly empty she ignored us and when the food came she all but hurled it onto the table and just walked away. Asking how we were a grand total of 1 time and not bothering to ask if we wanted more drinks. Needless to say her tip stank...nothing at all and we never went back to that place.

I suppose the worst thing I can remember was an instance of complete non-service. When I was kid (back in the 70's), my family stopped at a Days Inn hotel and restaurant in the Carolinas. We chose a table and waited. And waited! On the other side of the dining room, the waitress was flapping her beak with the busboy, until my father yelled, "Can we get some help here?!"
We might have just left the place, but we were hungry and this was the only restaurant around.

1. First of all he can ignore you and not allocate seat to you.
2. Say after you are seated he may not come to address you or can come late.
3. He can take orders from you can bring something different than that was ordered.
4. He may serve you food/drink in unclean utensils.
5. Can get you the wrong bill and the end.
These are the real time scenarios which I can think of right now. Hope these will be helpful to you.

Bad service is different to all people. When I have to continually search for the waiter, I get a little miffed. If I am served burned food, I am also not happy. I know it's the chefs fault, but they had the audacity to serve me something that was inedible. I also do not care to hear about someones personal problems. I'm eating out so I can relax, not take on the world.

Well! bad customer service in a restaurant... ok here, i and my freind went to a restaurant for dinner, the waiter served our dinner like after 45 min since we have placed the order. Adding to the wound, he kept on waiting and walking around the table asking us if he could get the cheque!
Another place i guess was we went for lunch and we placed the order. The waitress was prompt and very quick to serve our order less than 10 min! But to our surprise she served the food to our table which was ordered by some one else. After complaning her about the matter she was angry and very rude to serve our order. I gave her a tip of $0.01 :)
After looking at the tip, she starting arguing and I said it is because of her service, the other people whose order was placed to us were supporting me and they too gave her the same royal one cent as the tip! well finally manager called her and asked her to behave.
And yeah Good luck for your roleplay!

Once we went to a restaurant where we were seated by a hostess, but although there were only two other tables occupied, we waited 20 minutes and no one had come to even take a drink order, much less food! Needless to day, we got up and walked out without waiting to see how much longer it would take, as we had not yet even had anything at our table!
Another restaurant in our town is notorious for frequently slow and sometimes even BAD service. It's the only sushi bar in town and the chef is top-notch, so we continue to go occassionally, when we have the time.
On one occassion, we were with a friend who had spent several years in Japan and has completed several levels of training in teaching Japanese. The waitress messed up his order, and when he corrected her, she actually brought out the owner to "scold" him for trying to correct his meal. When he began speaking to the owner in Japanese, the owner quickly changed his tone, but that friend, assuredly, will never go to the restaurant again.
On another occassion, the waitress greeted us with, "I can't stand sushi, and I don't understand how anyone could ever eat here!" How's that for an opening? Appetizers anyone?

When waiter seems to disappear or ignore the fact that you need your drinks refilled.
One time waiter was too busy talking to their friends to do his job.
Another time a waitress at a truck stop seemed to be always nervouse and always messed up on our order. Waitress was let go.
One thing that annoys my fiance, is when the waiter gives you the check as soon as they bring out the food and do not bother to ask if we want dessert or not.

One time, my friends and I went to IHOP at about 1 am. The waiter took our drink order, brought my friend unsweet tea when she ordered sweet tea (we're Southern). When she told him, he argued with her. Then, he told us, "hurry up and order, I have other tables". Then, we ordered and the last one to order made the comment that we were making her feel like a pig because she hadn't eaten all day, so she ordered more. Then, he brought the other 3's food out and forgot mine. When I asked him about it, he said "G-D it, they can't get anything right". When he came by to ask if we wanted dessert, he told my friend, "since you're being a pig tonight, do you want dessert?"
Needless to say, we were not happy. But, we complained to the manager and the waiter had to pay for our meal.
I went back in there a few days later with some other friends, and he was supposed to be our waiter. When he saw me, he took our drink order, then gave our table to someone else.

Be careful to complain too much directly to the worker. They do spit in food ya know or worse. Once your done with your meal, should you receive one, go to management directly or write a letter. The waiter may know the first name, but not the last. Do it with taste, that shows that you have more customer service behavior then the waiter.
