If I understand the question correctly, you are basically asking for the origin of fresh cheese or yogurt. Legend has it that curd (in the form of yogurt) is from Central Asia and dates back to at least 3000 BCE (nomad found that his milk had gone chunky, decided to taste it, and loved it).

I suspect that Little Miss Muffet, who sat on her Tuffet, eating her curds and whey, would have the exact recipe for this one! However, since curds are created by separating the liquid from the solid, I suspect that the first curds were made by accident during what was hoped to be a preserving process.
