People feel weak all the time; feeling weak isn't some vegetarian phenomenon.
A meat eater can be sick every few months and think nothing of it. The second a vegetarian gets a cold all the meaties are running out to tell them that they need meat or they will die.
lol
I know tons of meat eaters who have no energy to clean, go for walks, garden etc. etc.. They take naps all the time and they are too tired to go out on a Friday night. Is this because of their diet? Well... probably, but they would prefer to think we are the ones not eating the right things.
:)

Anyway, eat a balance of foods. If you are eating enough calories per day of a variety of vegetarian/vegan foods, then you have more than enough protein.
"What You Should Eat Every Day on a Vegetarian Diet.
* 3 or 4 servings of cereals/grains or potatoes
* 4 or 5 servings of fruit and vegetables
* 2 or 3 servings of pulses, nuts & seeds
* 2 servings of milk, cheese, eggs or soya products
* A small amount of vegetable oil and margarine or butter.
* Some yeast extract such as Marmite, fortified with vitamin B12, or nutritional yeast. "

It could be a lack of B complex which can be consumed without any flesh, but if the person is ignorant, they will not consume all the vitamins and minerals necessary to maintain the body at its best. Supplements for both vitamins and minerals should be taken by all, for the ground has been greatly depleted of its nutritional value. Some mineral deficiencies can also cause this. Blackstrap molasses and rice and beans or soy products can help to take up the slack. A plant based diet was chosen for our first parents in the garden in Eden (read Gen 1-2), and it was not until the flood came that man was allowed to eat flesh for you can not grow a garden in a flood (read Gen 7 and 9). We should do that which is best for our bodies, therefore it is wisest to eat a plant based diet.

i'm going to guess more complete proteins.
things like tofu, peanut butter, and beans contain most if not all your essential amino acids.
it may not be palatable all the time, you may get tired of the limited diet, and (in the case of beans) there may be some undesired side-effects, but there's sacrifice to being a vegetarian.
i'm not sure if you're going to get all your essential amino acids from stuff like veggie burgers and salad.

Protein is the best thing you can do for strength and energy. Mushrooms, Broccoli, Milk, tofu etc. can provide that for your body. If you want more info on food that has protien, I'd go to www.mypyramid.gov, it's got some great info...

likely protein, but possibly iron too. check out this website for ideas on where veggies and vegans can get their iron, protein, and other important nutrients (under "essential nutrients"):

and by the way evina, red meat has been linked to at least colon cancer and breast cancer. it is NOT part of a healthy diet.

They need to make sure that they are eating enough protein. Bananas, soy beans, soy milk, nuts (almonds, peanuts, pecans) and seeds (pumpkin, flax, sunflower) are good sources of protein. If they are vegetarian and not vegan (no animal protein), they should include fish, eggs and milk to their diet.

Some sort of protein, such as tofu, beans, etc. Plus they should be taking a vitamin B-12 supplement, as you can only find vitamin B-12 in meat.
