The best way to convince them is for YOU to become the healthiest member of the family by being the Uber-Veg.
It's a long slow process. But it works a lot better than prattling off facts and figures. People shut down when they hear things they are not ready to hear. But they pay attention when you look great, feel great, recover from colds and flus faster than they do. Heal faster.
Yadda Yadda.

Lead by example. Offer to cook a couple of nights a week. Prepare wholesome, good food that the family will enjoy and prove to them that you don't need meat to eat well. Some things not to do: 1. Don't be argumentative or abrasive. This only turns people off and gives them an excuse not to listen. 2. Don't act superior, even though vegetarianism seems a superior choice for health reasons alone. Be open to your families reasons for continuing to eat meat. 3. Don't demand change from people wh are set in their ways. Just go slow. They'll come around.
Good Luck!

You cannot force your family to believe what you do. It is like religion, people choose to live the way they want and you have to either accept it or be miserable everytime you find that you can't change it.
I suggest sitting down with your family and discussing that YOU are a vegetarian simple as that. You need to respect their choices just as you would expect them to respect yours.
It reminds me of a quote:
"You can't force right of wrong on anyone, all you can do is lead by example and hope they lean toward the light."

You cannot convince anyone. You might try preparing a fabulous vegetarian entree, serving it to the people. I am not vegetarian, but have many friends that are, and when we have mixed friends, I honor my vegetarian friends and no one misses the meat.
Keep in mind, you cannot convince your family, but you can give them good, tasty alternatives. Preaching is not the way to go.

if they have a well balanced diet then no it will not clog their arteries faster. for them it may not be the way to go you must let them decide what they want to do with their own bodies. if anything you can just introduce them to some vegetarian meals that they can include in their diet. i would definitly say that there is no way you will be able to convince your whole family to become vegetarian.

You shouldn't convince others to be vegetarians, it is not natural or healthy, despite what other vegetarians tell you. It is a personal decision to not eat meat, and you have every right to choose to be a vegetarian, but don't try to convert everyone else, after all humans are meant to eat meat, and we all have the right to do so.
And eating beef, chicken, etc.... is nothing like cannibalism, it is nature, all other omnivores as well as carnivores eat other animals, it is the way nature intended it to be, for one to live one must die, it may seem harsh, that is the way it is.

Thats rude making someone believe what you do and if you believe i god here this he said its OK to kill as long as we eat it! Remember Jesus ate fish...well I'm not uber religious but I'm pointing that out let your family like how they live being vegetarian isn't healthy you need iron and protein because you know what...you might not even know your lacking vitamins but one day you drop dead just like that because of lack of something...and if your a vegetarian cool but if your vegan that's not healthy if you don't eat vegetables that's not healthy either they don't live or breath they just get bigger OK so don't go like vegan plus if you don't drink milk...cows need to be milked to live! so think about that if you are more power to you but don't try and convince others they wont buy it OK by Hun! P.s i don't mean to be rude but if you are vegetarian or vegan keep on the tofu alright!

I agree, don't push your beliefs onto other people and don't preach. Everyone has the right to live their lives as they choose. Eat and let eat.
